Riley Keough Sues Over John Travolta's Son's Parentage
New Lawsuit Claims Riley Keough is Biological Mother of John Travolta’s Son
A new lawsuit has emerged, alleging that Riley Keough is the biological mother of John Travolta and his late wife, Kelly Preston's son, Ben. The case involves two former business partners of Priscilla Presley, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, who are now involved in a legal dispute with Presley's son, Navarone Garcia.
Key Details of the Lawsuit
The lawsuit claims that Michael Lockwood, the ex-husband of Lisa Marie Presley, told Kruse that Travolta and Preston approached the Presley family for an egg donation around 2010. According to the complaint, Lockwood said that Travolta and Preston had previously used Lisa Marie's eggs to get pregnant, though it does not specify whether any such pregnancy was carried to term.
Lockwood allegedly claimed that the couple no longer wanted to use Lisa Marie’s eggs because they did not want "eggs with heroin" on them. Lisa Marie publicly discussed her opioid addiction before her death in 2023.
The complaint further states that Lockwood said Travolta and Preston orchestrated a deal in which Lisa Marie's then-20-year-old daughter, Riley Keough, gave her eggs to Travolta so that Kelly could give birth to their son, Ben Travolta, who was born in 2010.
Legal Battle and Allegations
Kruse and Fialko's lawyer, Jordan Matthews, stated in a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly: "This amended complaint is about revealing the truth, correcting the record, and providing evidence of the work that was done in good faith to bring peace, resolution, and stability to the Presley family, despite being exposed to constant volatility."
Matthews added that Kruse and Fialko remain confident that the truth will prevail and trust that the courts will not favor one person over another simply because of one party's celebrity status.
Representatives for Travolta, Keough, Lockwood, and Garcia did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Marty Singer, an attorney for Priscilla Presley, responded to the filing in a statement to Us. He said: "Brigitte Kruse, Kevin Fialko, and their co-conspirators have demonstrated that there is no bar too low, no ethical line that they are unwilling to cross in an effort to cause further pain to Priscilla Presley and her family."
Singer added that these recent allegations have nothing to do with the claims in this case. He described the conduct of Kruse, Fialko, and their new lawyers as shameful and stated that it will be addressed in court.
Additional Allegations
The complaint also claims that Lockwood said Keough was rewarded with a payment between $10,000 and $20,000, as well as "an old Jaguar." Furthermore, after Lisa Marie Presley's death in 2023, Lockwood wanted to use his knowledge of Ben Travolta's supposed secret parentage to "orchestrate a settlement for him and his daughters," Harper and Finley, whom he welcomed with Lisa Marie in 2008.
Neither Travolta, Keough, nor Lockwood is named as a defendant in the lawsuit. Kruse and Fialko included the alleged incident with Lockwood as an example of the duo being used "as both negotiators and mediators" among the Presley family following Lisa Marie's death.
Background on Travolta and Lisa Marie Presley
Travolta and Preston had three children together: Jett, who was born in 1992 and died in 2009; Ella, who was born in 2000; and Ben. Following Jett's untimely death, Lisa Marie Presley wrote a blog post defending Travolta and Preston, describing the couple as her "very good friends" and "the sweetest people in the world," according to a Huffington Post article at the time.
Travolta in turn mourned Lisa Marie Presley upon her death. "Lisa baby girl, I'm so sorry," he wrote on Instagram. "I'll miss you but I know I’ll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley."
