Megyn Kelly Sparks Outrage Over Candace Owens Feud Claims
Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News host, recently delivered a strong and emotional response to ongoing rumors about her involvement in the growing conflict between Erika Kirk and Candace Owens. During an episode of her SiriusXM radio show, she expressed frustration with critics who have been spreading information online without fully understanding the situation.
Kelly addressed what she called "myopically online" critics, stating that they "have no * clue what’s going on" behind the scenes. She made it clear that she was not willing to engage in public shaming or condemnation of either party involved in the dispute. Instead, she emphasized the importance of personal relationships and real-life interactions.
"To the hateful people whom I used to call friends who have been all over the internet trying to shame me and say that no one should ever listen to this program again because I haven’t spoken out on the Erika/Candace conflict: I don’t have any pearls of wisdom other than go **** yourselves," she said.
Kelly continued by explaining that the critics fail to understand the human element of the situation. She suggested that actually engaging with the individuals involved—by "touching grass and having relationships"—could potentially help resolve the tensions. She argued that while this approach might not work, it at least offers a chance for positive outcomes. In contrast, she criticized the "Twitter shame game" for not producing anything meaningful.
Owens, who was previously associated with the right-wing student organization Turning Point USA, has been vocal about her suspicions regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk, the late husband of Erika Kirk. This has led to increased scrutiny and tension between the two women.
In recent weeks, Owens has shared conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk's assassination and questioned Erika Kirk's motives following her appointment as CEO of Turning Point USA. Despite these challenges, both Erika Kirk and Owens have taken steps to address the conflict directly.
This week, the two women announced plans for a face-to-face meeting, which took place on Monday. According to Kelly, Erika Kirk initially reached out to her in hopes that she would facilitate the discussion, which was intended to be filmed for a future broadcast. Although Owens agreed to the setup, the meeting ultimately occurred off-camera and behind closed doors due to some obstacles.
"My goal and my job here, I think, is to try to understand where Candace is coming from on this. I know you’re not supposed to say that," Kelly explained. "You’re supposed to just immediately condemn her. But I love the Turning Point guys, and I don’t believe for one second any of them had anything to do with Charlie’s murder. Not for one second do I believe that."
Erika Kirk described the conversation with Owens as "very productive" on X. However, whether this meeting will be enough to ease the tensions between the two women remains uncertain.
On Tuesday’s episode of her "Candace" podcast, Owens stated that she "did not recant" her suspicions during the meeting. She also criticized the evidence used by law enforcement to charge the 22-year-old suspect, Tyler Robinson, with Charlie Kirk’s murder, calling it "fake and gay."
