Rodriguez then sent the boy to the bathroom to clean it, where she sprayed a strong chemical glass cleaner. This caused the boy’s eyes to swell significantly. During questioning, Rodriguez denied the allegations, claiming that she had only argued with her son over chores and his social activities. She also stated that she did not know how he sustained his injuries.

Rodriguez faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon. She remains in custody, and no bond has been set at this time.
