COD Mobile SMG Meta Guide Season 11 2025

Submachine guns (SMGs) have been a dominant force in the Call of Duty: Mobile meta for the past year, with weapons like the CBR4, MAC-10, and PPSh-41 consistently proving their effectiveness. While the CBR4 and MAC-10 have undergone several nerfs in recent months, they have remained some of the top choices for players due to their performance.

With the arrival of Season 11 (2025), known as the Sixth Anniversary, many are wondering if this trend will continue. To provide clarity, we've created an SMG tier list that ranks each submachine gun from best to worst, giving insight into their current standing in the game.

COD: Mobile SMG Tier List

In general, SMGs are ideal for close-quarters combat, excelling up to medium range. Their low calibers and lightweight designs typically result in minimal recoil and a fast time-to-kill (TTK). Most SMGs also come with a variety of attachments, allowing players to customize them based on their playstyle.

Over the past few seasons, SMGs have been subject to numerous balance changes, with underperforming weapons receiving buffs to bring them closer to parity with others in the class. This means that in Season 11 (2025), there are plenty of viable SMGs to choose from.

There are currently 29 SMGs available in COD: Mobile Season 11 (2025). The most recent addition is the STEN, introduced in Season 9, "Midnight Rumble." Our tier list will rank these weapons from S (the best) to D (the worst), explaining why each one is placed where it is.

S-Tier

  • STEN (new)
A new addition to the S-tier, the STEN has quickly proven itself as a powerful weapon.

  • ISO
The ISO SMG delivers a quick TTK when equipped with the right attachments, making it a formidable choice.

  • CBR4
Despite recent nerfs, the CBR4 remains one of the best SMGs in the game. Its high fire rate and minimal recoil make it a classic example of an effective SMG. While its reload time has increased and the movement speed boost from the YKM Light Stock has been reduced, it still holds strong.

  • PPSh-41
Buffed in Season 8, the PPSh-41 has maintained its position as a top-tier SMG. It's accurate up to medium range, has low recoil, and a large magazine capacity, making it a reliable choice in any match.

  • MAC-10
Recently buffed, the MAC-10 saw an increase in damage range. It’s perfect for players who prefer to duck and dive out of cover, getting as close as possible to opponents.

  • GKS
A newer addition to the S-tier, the GKS received a buff in the past season. It's a favorite among pro players due to its low TTK, though its effectiveness depends on the player's skill level.

A-Tier

  • USS 9
  • VMP
  • TEC-9
  • CX9
  • Striker 45
  • OTs 9
  • KSP 45
  • MSMC
  • Switchblade X9
  • Fennec
  • ARG .556
  • HG40

The A-tier is particularly well-populated after recent balance changes that improved several SMGs. The KSP 45 stands out with its burst fire mode and impressive range, making it a good choice for mid-range encounters. The Switchblade X9, while similar to the MAC-10 in design, lacks the same power, placing it in the A-tier. The MSMC has seen tweaks that improve its first-range damage but require players to close the gap more than before.

The RUS-79U, Fennec, HG40, and ARG .556 all remain in the A-tier, offering solid performance across various situations.

B-Tier

  • LAPA
  • Cordite
  • QQ9
  • PP19 Bizon
  • MX9
  • Razorback
  • PDW-57
  • Pharo
  • QXR (moved from C tier)

The B-tier offers a wide selection of SMGs, including the recently buffed HG 40 and MX9, as well as the new LAPA. The MX9 is particularly powerful, with increased damage leading to more consistent kills. The PP19 Bizon is a versatile option, offering balanced performance across different scenarios.

The Razorback and PDW-57, both buffed last year, remain in the B-tier.

C-Tier

Previously, the QXR was in the C-tier, but it has moved up to the B-tier due to recent buffs. With the right attachments, it can even compete with A-tier SMGs.

D-Tier

  • Chicom
Despite several past buffs, Chicom still lags behind other SMGs in terms of performance.
