About CCRES and Their Mission

CCRES is dedicated to providing professional staff who work in schools, homes, and communities to support children and adults facing challenges such as autism, mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities. Since 1999, CCRES has partnered with the Chester County Intermediate Unit to address the growing need for behavioral health services in Chester County, while also contributing to the betterment of the community.

Based in Downingtown, CCRES collaborates with school districts, intermediate units, and the broader behavioral health system to ensure that individuals receive the necessary support. The organization is currently seeking passionate professionals to join their team in various roles across the region.

Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Position

One of the many available roles at CCRES is the Personal Care Assistant (PCA). This position allows individuals to make a meaningful impact by providing one-on-one assistance to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders in the school setting. PCAs work closely with students based on their medical needs and help them achieve their goals.

The schedule for this role aligns with the school calendar, offering shifts from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (secondary) or 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (elementary). Assignments are available throughout Chester County’s school districts, as well as at the Chester County Intermediate Unit Child and Career Development Center or CCIU’s Learning Center.

Key responsibilities of a PCA include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group emotional support and behavioral interventions to children/adolescents in the school setting based on the client’s medical needs.
  • Prompting interventions in areas such as behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on IEP goals or a behavioral treatment plan.
  • Collecting daily data and documenting progress notes in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
  • Offering direct support for students to meet their personal care needs.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency
  • Experience working with school-aged children (preferred)
  • Experience with autism and/or other special needs (preferred)

For those assigned to the West Chester Area School District, additional requirements include a high school diploma and the ability to complete a local assessment requirement, or two years of post-secondary education (48 college credits).

Credentialing requirements include:

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening
  • Education Documentation – Diploma OR Official Transcripts

Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA) Position

Another key role at CCRES is the Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA), an independent contract position that involves working as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team in Montgomery County. This role offers flexible scheduling, allowing consultants to work during school hours, after school, or in the evenings, depending on program needs.

The hourly rate for this position is $60 per hour. Responsibilities include:

  • Writing and monitoring individual treatment plans for children diagnosed with behavioral and mental health disorders.
  • Assisting in developing adaptive skills for the diagnosed child to take a more positive role in the school, home, and community setting.
  • Providing prescribed behavioral consultation to the family and/or school.
  • Training the Behavior Health Technician (BHT) on appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Writing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).

Qualifications for this position include:

  • A Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA) or a related program, along with a PA License in one of the following: Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Social Worker, Behavior Specialist, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
  • At least 12 credits in ABA from a college/university and one year of full-time experience providing ABA, or one year of full-time experience in the provision of ABA under the supervision of a BCBA or similar certification, plus 40 hours of training in ABA.
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • FBI Department of Human Service background clearance – Service code: 1KG738
  • TB screening – current within three months
  • Professional Liability Insurance

Behavior Analyst / BCBA Position

The Behavior Analyst / BCBA is another critical role at CCRES, offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for those hired for a minimum of 25 billable hours. A bonus of $2,500 is issued upon hire, with a second installment of $2,500 issued 90 days after hire.

This position includes flexible scheduling, allowing analysts to work during school, after school, or in the evenings, depending on program needs. The hourly rate is $85 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing and monitoring individual treatment plans for children diagnosed with behavioral and mental health disorders.
  • Assisting in developing adaptive skills for the diagnosed child to take a more positive role in the school, home, and community setting.
  • Providing prescribed behavioral consultation to the family and/or school.
  • Training the Behavior Health Technician (BHT) on appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Writing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).

  • BCBA (active)
