What to Expect at a Close Enemies Concert
Close Enemies brings a dynamic performance that blends new material with some familiar tunes. The band includes vocalist Chasen Hampton, guitarists Trace Foster and Peter Stroud, and drummer Tony Brock. Each member contributes to a tight, energetic set that showcases the group's musical versatility.
Hamilton has emphasized that the setlist will feature songs he co-wrote, ensuring a personal connection to the music. He has also expressed a desire to play tracks from his past work that have not been performed live in years. For instance, "Sick as a Dog" is one such song that Hamilton has long wanted to bring back to the stage.
"I was having trouble getting the guys in Aerosmith to put it in the set," Hamilton explained. "I realized, 'Alright, this is my chance! Now I get to hear that song on stage again.'"
New Music and a Special Video
In addition to their tour schedule, Close Enemies has been busy releasing new music. Throughout the year, the band released five singles from their upcoming album, which is expected to be released in March. One of the most notable tracks is "More Than I Could Ever Need," a song written by Hamilton as a tribute to his wife of nearly 50 years.
The band created a music video for the track, which turned out to be an unexpectedly smooth process. According to Hamilton, the video was shot in just a few hours, with the director, Tom Flynn, delivering the final product within two days.
"We spent a day shooting a video for an upcoming song from the album and finished with about an hour until we had to be out of the studio," Hamilton shared. "We needed a lyric video for 'More Than I Could Ever Need,' and asked the director, Tom Flynn if we could do something."
"Fifteen minutes later he had the studio ready and we did a few takes. Two days later he sent the finished product and we were knocked out! He captured the atmosphere of the song and the look of the band so well we could hardly believe it," he added. "We hope you like it too."
