Kardashians unveil who funds their annual Christmas party
The Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve Tradition
Khloe Kardashian recently opened up about the family's annual Christmas Eve party, revealing that the cost is evenly split among the family members. This tradition has been a staple for decades, with the event rotating between different family homes each year.
The party has seen some of the biggest names in entertainment and business attend over the years, including Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Paris Hilton, Elon Musk, Dave Chappelle, John Legend, Tyler The Creator, and even Sean 'Diddy' Combs before his legal troubles. This year’s event was reportedly held at Kendall Jenner’s $8.5 million Beverly Hills estate, continuing the family's long-standing tradition.
A Family Affair
Kris Jenner, 70, who started the tradition back in 1978 when she was a Beverly Hills housewife married to Robert Kardashian, shared insights into the history of the event. She mentioned that the party began as a smaller gathering but eventually grew to include 2-300 people, prompting the need for a rotating venue.
Khloe, 41, sat down with her mother to discuss the event, highlighting how the family manages the logistics. She admitted that she doesn’t want to take on the responsibility of hosting, stating that she prefers a more intimate setting. However, she praised her mother for stepping in to help manage the event this year.

Hosting Responsibilities
The conversation revealed that while the family takes turns hosting, it's not always clear who will be in charge of the next event. Khloe and Kris, who live next door to each other, were unsure whether they were referring to the most recent party or one coming up soon.
Kris expressed excitement about seeing how each of her children interprets their own Christmas Eve celebrations. She also noted that the family uses a Pinterest board to share ideas and invites everyone to "Mindy Weiss meetings," where plans are finalized.

The Role of Event Planner Mindy Weiss
Mindy Weiss, 56, an event planner with a long history of working with the Kardashians, plays a key role in organizing these events. She is known for orchestrating Kylie Jenner's extravagant birthday parties for her daughter Stormi.
Khloe explained that once the plans are set, guests can't change their minds. “Not everyone shows up and that's fine, but if you don't show up, you don't get a say-so,” she said. “Then you can't come to the third meeting and be like: 'Oh, I don't like that.' Nope. We've already have two meetings before. We've decided on X, Y and Z.”

A Cozy Celebration
Kendall, who may be hosting this year's event, spoke about the upcoming celebration in an interview. She mentioned that last year’s party was smaller and more intimate, which she enjoyed. “Usually, they're kind of these blowouts for the last, like, since I was born,” she said. “But we're doing a smaller one again this year, and I'm really happy about it. And so it'll be cozy vibes.”

The Evolution of the Party
This year’s event marks a shift from the usual glitzy galas that the family is known for. While the exact reasons for the change remain unclear, it seems the family is opting for a more low-key approach this holiday season. Kim Kardashian has hinted at a more intimate celebration, suggesting that some of the traditional elements might be scaled back.
The decision to keep things cozy could reflect a broader trend among the family members, who are increasingly focusing on quality time with loved ones rather than grand displays of wealth and extravagance. As the family continues to evolve, so too does their approach to celebrating the holidays.
