Julie Chrisley's 2026 Cooking Show Revealed: What to Expect

Julie Chrisley's New Culinary Venture
Julie Chrisley, 52, is preparing to embark on an exciting new television project that promises to bring her unique culinary expertise to a wider audience. During the Wednesday, December 17, episode of their "Chrisley Confessions" podcast, she shared details about her upcoming cooking show, which is set to begin filming segments in February 2026.
"I may even do some [filming] in the next couple days," Julie teased, hinting at the content that will eventually be available on YouTube. "This is my baby, it's not yours." Her husband, Todd Chrisley, 56, expressed interest in producing the series, but Julie was quick to clarify that she doesn't need his help.
"I've not heard this, and I've not agreed to this," Julie said with a playful tone. "I don't need you to produce me. … I didn't even know you were taking on that job." Despite their disagreement on Todd's potential involvement, Julie has been focused on shaping the style of her show.
She mentioned that she has been reviewing comments from social media users who have suggested that she could create segments based on the meals she cooked during her time in prison. "I think that you do that. I think that you do some of those things," Todd said, seemingly referencing Julie's past legal issues.
A New Chapter in Cooking
Julie and Todd were convicted of fraud in 2022 and each served two years in federal prison before being pardoned by President Donald Trump. The reality TV couple had long maintained their innocence. Now, as they look to the future, Julie is eager to incorporate elements of her past into her new show.
"I will incorporate some of that into it," Julie said, referring to recreating her prison meals in future episodes. "We [now] have access to everything and we have real ways to cook. I [do] want it to be real, things that I actually cook, and I want it to be things that everybody else can cook."
She emphasized that she wants the show to feature simple ingredients that are easily accessible. "I don't want it to be crazy ingredients that people have to go out and search and find. I want the majority of it to be things that, if you cook, you would have in your pantry."
Julie is hopeful that the show will cover a variety of topics, including weekly meals, special occasion dishes, and more. "I love that. I hope you can find a producer that's going to let you do all of that," Todd joked, adding, "I hear if you sleep with your producer, that buys you favor."
A Playful Exchange
Julie, however, was quick to dismiss the idea of trading sexual favors for a job. "You don't need another case," she quipped, referencing her and Todd's previous legal troubles.
Julie previously hosted a "What's Cooking" series in 2019, where she shared family recipes over the course of 10 episodes. The series often highlighted their holiday favorites. "We're very traditional, so we always have turkey. My homemade cornbread dressing is probably a favorite at our table, and that's something that we have every Thanksgiving," Julie previously told Mashed in a 2021 interview.
She also shared her love for other Southern staples, such as sweet potato soufflé and macaroni and cheese. "I do a sweet potato soufflé. Everyone loves my macaroni and cheese. So very Southern, full of carbs."
Julie and Todd further told the outlet that she handles "99 percent" of all the cooking in their household. "I think the key for me is just to plan ahead, to buy early, especially this season," she advised the outlet. "I have it in a particular place where I know where it is and I'm going to actually do some prepping early for things that can be done early."
What to Expect
As Julie prepares for her new venture, fans are eagerly anticipating what she will bring to the table. With her focus on simplicity, tradition, and accessibility, her show is poised to become a hit. Whether it's recreating her prison meals or sharing her family's favorite recipes, Julie is determined to make her new series a success.
Her journey from legal challenges to a new career in the culinary world is a testament to her resilience and passion for cooking. As she steps into this new chapter, it's clear that Julie Chrisley is ready to shine once again.
