iOS 26.3 Unveils a Fresh iPhone Wallpaper Gallery — What's New?
New Features in iOS 26.3 Beta 1
Apple recently released the iOS 26.3 beta 1 for developers, and we're diving into what's new in this update. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of a new transfer tool that simplifies switching between iOS and Android devices.
In addition to this major feature, there are several smaller but welcome improvements. For example, the wallpaper gallery has been expanded with a dedicated Weather section. This change allows users to access weather-related wallpapers more easily.
Splitting the Weather and Astronomy Sections
Previously, the Weather and Astronomy sections were combined under a single category titled "Weather & Astronomy" in the iPhone wallpaper gallery. However, in the current beta, these sections have been separated into two distinct rows labeled "Weather" and "Astronomy."
This split not only organizes the wallpapers better but also introduces a range of new options, particularly in the Weather section. While iOS 26.2 added one weather wallpaper, iOS 26.3 beta 1 brings three new ones. Each of these wallpapers includes live weather conditions for your location, along with unique preset fonts and widget setups.

Customization Options
These enhancements make it easier for users to choose a weather wallpaper that matches their preferences without needing to do extensive customization. However, the option to customize further is still available for those who prefer a more personalized touch.
Apple may add even more options as iOS 26.3 continues to develop throughout the year. It's worth noting that the full release of iOS 26.3 is expected to be ready by early 2026.
Other Notable Updates
Beyond the wallpaper improvements, the most anticipated feature in iOS 26.3 is the new transfer tool. This tool was developed in collaboration with Google and aims to streamline the process of switching between iOS and Android devices. Although Google’s version is also in beta, the system is not yet fully functional.

As we continue to explore the features of iOS 26.3, it's clear that this update will bring several improvements. Apple typically releases a public beta after the developer beta, and beta 1 appears to be smaller compared to the previous iOS 26.2 update.
Looking ahead, iOS 26.4 is expected to be a more substantial update in the spring. This version should introduce a smarter version of Siri, offering enhanced functionality and user experience.

Stay tuned as we keep updating and exploring the latest iOS 26 release for any additional changes or new features.
