Dolly Parton's 2026 Tour Unveils 27 Extraordinary Performances
A New Chapter for Dolly Parton’s Symphony Experience
Dolly Parton, a national treasure in the world of country music, is embarking on an exciting new journey with her 2026 tour. This marks a bold expansion of her acclaimed multimedia symphonic project, Threads: My Songs in Symphony, which will now reach 12 U.S. cities with 27 performances scheduled throughout the year.
While Parton will not be physically touring with the production, the show brings her music, voice, and life story to audiences nationwide through a fully immersive concert experience. This unique performance blends orchestral arrangements, visual storytelling, and on-screen narration from the legend herself, offering fans a chance to connect with her work in a fresh and dynamic way.
A Success Story Unfolds
The Threads: My Songs in Symphony project was first unveiled in 2025 and quickly gained attention for its sold-out crowds. It originally debuted with the Grammy Award–winning Nashville Symphony before expanding to major orchestras across the country. The 2026 season builds on this success, deepening the project’s scope and reach.
Developed in partnership with Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing, the concert experience features orchestral arrangements by David Hamilton, immersive visuals by Adam Grannick, and a narrative structure that traces Parton’s songs, life, and stories in chronological “threads.” Through newly orchestrated versions of her catalog, audiences are guided by Parton’s on-screen presence as she reflects on her career, creativity, and the moments that shaped her legendary songwriting.
Collaborations with America’s Premier Orchestras
The 2026 tour will feature collaborations with some of the country’s most respected orchestras, including the Colorado Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Nashville Symphony, and Kansas City Symphony, among others. These partnerships highlight the widespread appreciation for Parton’s music and the enduring impact of her work.
Returning vocalists from the original tour include Katelyn Drye, Hollie Hammel, Blair Lamb, and Julie Williams, alongside a powerhouse ensemble of musicians who bring Parton’s music to life onstage. Additional guest vocalists will join select dates throughout the year, adding more excitement to the tour.

Balancing Health and Creativity
The announcement comes during a period when Parton has publicly acknowledged the need to slow down. The 79-year-old icon recently postponed sold-out Las Vegas concerts and shared that her doctors had ordered “a few procedures,” calling it her “100,000-mile check-up.” Rather than stepping away creatively, Parton has continued to release new projects, including a new children’s book, Billy the Kid Dances His Heart Out, and a companion song, “Bella,” further underscoring her ability to adapt and evolve while honoring her health.
