The Steam Replay provides a comprehensive overview of your gaming activity. It shows which games dominated your time, how many achievements you unlocked, and even the percentage of new releases you spent time with. For some users, there's an additional breakdown of whether they played games using a keyboard and mouse or a controller. However, for others, like myself, the focus might be on different metrics—such as the longest streak on Steam, which I managed to achieve for 63 days in 2025.

Personal Gaming Insights

Looking at my own Steam Replay, there were some interesting highlights. The year 2025 marked the completion of Cyberpunk 2077, which had been my top game in 2024. Finishing the game added enough time to tie it with Atomfall for third place on my most-played list, earning it a spot on the spider graph.

The replay listed Painkiller Black as my second-most-played game of 2025, but I don't believe I spent that much time on it. PC Gamer's Wes Fenlon theorized that this could be the result of an executable failing to close properly, which makes sense.

Despite the potential inaccuracies, the Steam Replay is meant to be a fun and lighthearted reflection rather than a serious statistical analysis. Instead of worrying about the numbers, I'll simply acknowledge that the original Painkiller remains a brilliant game and that the Painkiller RTX mod I experimented with in October is definitely worth checking out.

The Steam Replay for 2025 is now available to everyone. It also includes links to previous years, allowing you to revisit your gaming history from 2022 or any other year if you're curious. Additionally, all adult members of a Steam Family can automatically access the Steam Replay for other family members. While it's too late to do anything about it this year, it's something to keep in mind for 2026.
