New information has come to light regarding the actions of Nick Reiner during a high-profile holiday gathering that took place before the tragic deaths of his parents. According to NBC News, Nick, who is 32 years old, was present at a Christmas party hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien on Saturday, December 13. The event brought together several celebrities, including his father, Rob Reiner, and mother, Michele Singer Reiner.

During the evening, it is alleged that Nick interrupted a private conversation involving comedian Bill Hader. When Hader, who is 47, stated that the discussion was private, NBC News reported that Nick appeared to stand still and stare before "storming off." Us Weekly has since reached out to Hader’s representative for further comment.

A source previously shared with Us Weekly that Nick allegedly behaved in a "creepy" manner during the celebration. At one point in the night, Nick reportedly asked people if they were famous before leaving the event. TMZ also reported that Rob and Nick had a "very loud argument" at the gathering, which other attendees overheard. Both Rob and Michele left the event shortly after.

The couple was later found dead in their Brentwood, California, home on Sunday, December 14. A family spokesman told Variety, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that both Rob and Michele Reiner suffered "apparent stab wounds." It was reported that Nick was not at the Brentwood home when the bodies were discovered. Instead, police located him near the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles.

According to ABC News, authorities arrested Nick for murder on Sunday night, approximately six hours after his parents were found dead. On Tuesday, December 16, Los Angeles district attorney Nathan Hochman announced that Nick had been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He faces the possibility of life in prison without parole or the death penalty if convicted.

Hochman stated that Nick will be arraigned after undergoing medical clearance. As the investigation continues into the events leading up to the deaths of Rob and Michele, many in Hollywood continue to express their grief and condolences.

In another Instagram post, journalist Maria Shriver expressed her deep sadness, writing, "We had dinner this past week, and they were in the best place in their lives: loving one another, loving their friends, their family, their country." She acknowledged Rob and Michele as "really good" parents to their children, including Tracy, Romy, and Jake.

Shriver emphasized the couple's dedication to parenting, stating, "They loved their kids so much, and they never stopped trying to be really good parents." She concluded, "My love is with their family. I'm so sad for them. I'm devastated, gutted, shocked, stunned, and so deeply saddened, as are all of the people who loved them and who they loved."
