Conservative Grassroots Organizations Back Elise Stefanik in New York Gubernatorial Race

Republican New York Representative Elise Stefanik is gaining significant traction in her bid to become the next governor of New York. Recently, she has received endorsements from a variety of conservative grassroots organizations across upstate New York. These endorsements highlight her growing influence and support within the Republican Party.

Eight conservative advocacy groups have officially endorsed Stefanik’s gubernatorial campaign. This includes organizations such as Moms for Liberty, Fight For Your Family, Western New York Freedom Seekers, and several others. Each of these groups represents a specific region or cause, emphasizing their commitment to conservative values and policies.

The New York State Rifle and Pistol Association has also thrown its support behind Stefanik. This endorsement further solidifies her position as a strong candidate in the upcoming election.

Stefanik is currently running against Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for the Republican nomination. The Upstate Conservative Coalition has been vocal in its support, stating that they are tired of downstate Republicans trying to dictate how upstate residents should think and feel.

Polling and Public Perception

Recent polling indicates that Stefanik is the clear frontrunner in the Republican primary. A Siena survey found that 48% of registered Republicans support Stefanik, while 17% back Blakeman. However, both candidates trail behind Hochul in head-to-head matchups.

Despite this, Stefanik’s strong performance in the polls and her extensive network of supporters suggest she is well-positioned to win the Republican nomination. She has secured the endorsement of more than 75% of Republican county chairs in New York, making her the presumptive nominee of the state Republican party.

Blakeman, on the other hand, has argued that his decisive reelection victory in Long Island demonstrates his viability as a candidate in a general election against Hochul.
