This advice, though sometimes delivered with a hint of sarcasm, highlights an important truth: the modern generation, especially Gen Z, is increasingly disconnected from nature.
A recent study by Super, Natural British Columbia, which is the official tourism body of the Canadian province, surveyed 2,000 British adults and found that 67% of Gen Z individuals reported not going outside for days at a time. This trend is not limited to older generations; Gen Alpha children are also spending less time outdoors than previous generations.
