HBO Max has secured the U.S. rights to a powerful new series titled "One Day in October," which offers a scripted exploration of seven real-life stories set in Israel during the events of October 7. This series will be released on the two-year anniversary of the 2023 Hamas attacks, marking a significant moment for those affected by the tragic events.

The series weaves together distinct narratives of families and individuals who were at the heart of the events. Each story is drawn directly from real-life memories and accounts of that day, ensuring an authentic portrayal of the experiences faced by those involved. The creators approached the project with care, sensitivity, and urgency, aiming to honor the victims and celebrate the resilience of the survivors.

A Collaborative Effort

Produced by Fox Entertainment Studios, "One Day in October" was created in partnership with Israel's Yes TV and in association with Moriah Media. The series, developed by Oded Davidoff and Daniel Finkelman, presents the events of October 7 in a real-time scripted format. Davidoff also played a key role as writer and director on the project.

Filmed on location in Israel, the series showcases seven emotionally gripping and artistically interwoven narratives that highlight themes of love, courage, sacrifice, and survival. A Diverse Cast and Creative Team

The series features an impressive lineup of actors including Swell Ariel Or, Noa Kedar, Naomi Levov, Hisham Suliman, Wael Hamdoun, Yuval Semo, Avi Azulay, Naveh Tzur, Yael Abecassis, Moran Rosenblatt, Michael Aloni, Neta Roth, Sean Softi, Lior Ashkenazi, and Uri Perelman. The writing team includes Liron Ben-Shlush, Amir Hasfari, Keren Weissman, Orit Dabush, and Yona Rozenkier.

Production is led by Daniel Finkelman, Chaya Amor, Aviv Ben-Shlush, Lee Ben-Shlush Kuperman, and Fernando Szew from FOX Entertainment Studios. Jim Berk and Sheldon Rabinowitz from Moriah Media executive produced the series, while New York's Sparks Go and Israeli production company ZOA also contributed as co-producers.
