Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire: 5 Must-Add Players

Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Targets

With most of the NFL's Week 3 action completed, only the Giants vs. Chiefs "Sunday Night Football" game remains to be played. For many fantasy football managers, this means they are now looking ahead to the upcoming week, especially those who need to make adjustments due to injuries or matchups that have already been decided.

Fantasy enthusiasts often turn to the waiver wire as a way to gain an edge for the next round of games. The waiver wire can be a goldmine for players who are emerging or stepping into larger roles due to injuries. Here are five players to consider adding to your roster before Week 4 begins.

Trey Benson – RB, Cardinals (Rostered in 51% of Yahoo leagues)

James Conner suffered a significant ankle injury during the Cardinals' 16-15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He was carted off the field and ruled out for the rest of the game. If Conner’s absence is long-term, Trey Benson will become the clear top running back in Arizona’s backfield rotation. This could give him the volume needed to be a potential RB1 or high-end RB2.

Benson has shown promise, with 42 yards on 10 carries against the 49ers. He averages 5.95 yards per carry for the season, making him a solid option if he gets more touches.

Tre Tucker – WR, Raiders (Rostered in 3% of Yahoo leagues)

Tucker had a breakout performance in the Raiders’ 41-24 loss to the Commanders. He scored all three touchdowns for Las Vegas, leading the team in targets (9), catches (8), and receiving yards (145). While he may still be behind Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers in the pecking order, Tucker has earned 20 targets across the first three weeks.

If he continues to develop chemistry with Geno Smith, Tucker could become a high-ceiling flex play thanks to his deep speed and potential for big plays.

Elic Ayomanor – WR, Titans (Rostered in 21% of Yahoo leagues)

Ayomanor's numbers might not stand out at first glance, with 10 catches for 107 yards through three weeks. However, the rookie wide receiver is quickly building a strong connection with Cam Ward, the Titans' No. 1 overall pick. The pair has connected for a touchdown in back-to-back weeks, with Ayomanor serving as the team's No. 2 receiver alongside Calvin Ridley.

At 6-2, 206 pounds, Ayomanor has good size and should remain a red-zone threat throughout the season. His potential makes him a valuable addition for fantasy managers.

Luther Burden III – WR, Bears (Rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues)

The Bears have D.J. Moore and Rome Odunze at receiver, but there is room for a third target to emerge in their pass-heavy offense. Burden, a second-round rookie, showed promise in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, recording three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. Although the Cowboys have one of the weakest passing defenses, Burden demonstrated the explosive threat he can be in Chicago's offense.

The 21-year-old also had a 7-yard carry, indicating he can operate effectively in space. As he gains more playing time, Burden should continue to improve, making him a potential-packed flex option.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. – RB, Commanders (Rostered in 5% of Yahoo leagues)

Jeremy McNichols had the biggest run of Washington's win over Las Vegas, a 60-yard touchdown, but Rodriguez led the team with 11 carries. The Commanders are likely to continue using a committee approach with Rodriguez, McNichols, and Jacory "Bill" Croskey-Merritt.

Rodriguez has a 5-11, 224-pound frame, which makes him the best between-the-tackles runner. He should split goal-line work with Croskey-Merritt, who had a touchdown against the Raiders. This gives Rodriguez a solid volume floor and TD upside while playing in an explosive Washington offense.
