A Passion for Fashion

Erika, originally from the Amalfi Coast in Italy, worked in the fashion industry before moving to the UK in 2002. After several years working in an office, she decided to pursue her passion for fashion by importing clothes to sell at parties.

She shared, "The first party we did was at my best friend's house. We took two rails of clothes, invited all our friends, and sold everything. That gave me confidence to continue."

About a year later, in 2018, Erika converted her garage into a small showroom. She began inviting people to come and look at the clothing, helping them put together outfits. Her business quickly gained popularity, leading to the need for a larger space.

Expanding the Business

With the success of Solo Mia, Erika was able to expand her operations. Recently, she moved to a new location at Pitt Hall Farm. She explained, "I was exploding in my little garage; it was just too much stuff and not enough space. I couldn't expand anymore and could only see a limited number of people at the same time."

The new showroom at Pitt Hall Farm offers more freedom to host larger groups. With the help of her family and friends, Erika was able to convert an old tractor shed into a fresh, modern Italian clothing showroom in just 10 days, opening in time for Christmas 2024.

Erika loves the autumn season, describing it as her favorite. She mentioned, "Cosy jumpers, layers, big scarves, and be prepared to see lots of brown shades in the shops. Ladies, brown is officially the new black."
