Will Willow Marry Drew After His Secret With Nina?

A Tumultuous Wedding Begins
Willow and Drew's wedding on General Hospital took a dramatic turn in the July 25 episode. The ceremony started with emotional revelations, as Willow confronted her mother, Nina, after learning about an affair. This revelation left Willow questioning whether she could truly marry Drew, knowing what she now knew. Meanwhile, other characters were caught up in their own conflicts.
A Heated Argument Between Lucas and Carly
Lucas confronted Carly in her office, continuing their argument over Sonny's actions. He apologized for bringing up Morgan but argued that Carly's loyalty to Sonny had only brought her pain. Carly defended her ex-husband, blaming Sidwell for the problems, but Lucas insisted both men were equally at fault. He pointed out that Sonny's good deeds couldn't erase the blood on his hands, especially regarding Julian, his own father. Carly countered that Julian had attacked Sonny, making it self-defense, but Lucas reminded her that they only had Sonny’s version of events. He added that Sonny's kidnapping of Marco had opened his eyes, and he was appalled when Carly suggested that Sonny could have killed him instead of abducting him. Lucas stormed out, leaving Carly shaken.
Marco’s Dilemma
In Marco’s room, Sonny assured him that he would be safe if he stayed out of his father’s business. He suggested Marco take the job in Miami, but Marco refused, explaining that he had built a life in Port Charles. Sonny asked if Marco still blamed him for Natalia's death, and Marco admitted it wasn’t that simple. Sonny shared how Natalia had loved her son and regretted their estrangement. Lucas arrived and warned Sonny that if he ever touched Marco again, he'd go to the police.
A Shift in Loyalties
After Sonny left, Lucas urged Marco to add this interaction to his police statement, surprised when Marco admitted he hadn’t told the cops about Sonny’s actions. Though annoyed, Lucas agreed to respect his decision. Later, Sonny and Carly discussed Lucas stirring up trouble when Carly’s brother arrived to hand over his keys. “I’m moving out,” he announced.
A Complicated Relationship
Lucy checked on Sidwell after Natalia’s memorial and invited him to be her guest at Drew and Willow’s wedding, which she was officiating. Sidwell explained he was distancing himself from the politics in Port Charles, including Congressman Cain. She made one last effort, but he declined. After she exited, Marco arrived and informed his father he was all-in. “Whatever it takes,” he declared, “Sonny Corinthos needs to go.”
A Growing Conflict
At the Metro Court pool, Kristina worried that Ava and Ric would attend the wedding together, but Cody assured her he’d cause some friction. He then teased Molly about being covered up and reading War and Peace. When Molly uncovered, Cody got flustered, and when she offered him SPF 100, he spun around on his chaise so she could do his back.
A Concerned Sister
Kristina tried to reassure Michael about Willow’s upcoming nuptials but was distracted by Molly and Cody. She persuaded Michael to get Cody away to talk so she could swoop in and ask her sister what was going on. Kristina warned Molly that Cody had a reputation for seducing women for their money and worried he might be taking advantage of her. Later, Kristina thanked Michael for his help, and he hoped one day she’d explain what she was up to.
Pre-Wedding Tensions
Drew arrived at the church with Kai and checked in with Liz to tell her everything looked amazing. He was happy to see Obrecht until she shared her reservations about the union, at which point Liz dragged her off to remind her she had promised to be good. Ric showed up and chatted with Liz, hoping to share a dance at the reception. Ava overheard this and questioned Ric’s intentions, leading her to ask Alexis for a meeting to discuss their “business” without Ric present.
A Shocking Revelation
Nina was desperate to talk to Willow before the ceremony, but was taken aback when her daughter immediately demanded to know if it was true that she’d had an affair with Drew. Breaking down in tears, Nina confessed, which left Willow feeling sick. Trying to explain, Nina insisted that when they first hooked up in April, she had no idea he was attracted to her daughter. But when Willow asked how long it went on, and Nina admitted until August, she was horrified by the idea that while she was falling in love with Drew, he was sleeping with her mother.
A Mother’s Regret
Nina tried to explain that she didn’t want to say anything for fear of ruining the mother/daughter relationship they had finally established, but Willow didn’t understand why she kept sleeping with him. Nina promised she didn’t love Drew and that they actually hated each other. She wanted to try and save Willow and Michael’s marriage by taking Drew out of the picture, but when she saw how much she cared for Drew, she backed off. Horrified, Willow cried: “You watched as I threw away my marriage and my children for a man you knew was lying to me, and you said nothing?!”
A Broken Trust
Nina reminded her daughter that she had tried to persuade her to leave Drew and repair her marriage to Michael until she got so defensive of Drew that she wouldn’t listen to reason. Willow pointed out that if she’d told her Drew had been sleeping with her, she would have dumped him immediately and never would have lost her children. Nina wanted to make things right, but Willow called her selfish and swore she’d never forgive her for making her lose custody of Wiley and Amelia. Nina begged her daughter not to destroy the relationship they’d built, but Willow declared it was built on lies. Shattered, she realized she’d sacrificed everything for Drew and now had nothing. Nina assured her she still had her mother, but Willow bitterly spat that she didn’t have a maternal bone in her body. “I envy Nelle,” she hissed. “She died never knowing you were her mother. I wish I had been so lucky!”
A Final Decision
After kicking her mother out, Willow sat at the vanity and flashed back to her first kiss with Drew and recalling how their relationship developed to the point where she agreed to marry him in the hopes of regaining custody of her son and daughter. Out in the church, Lucy called for everyone to take their seats, but Nina told Obrecht she wanted to leave because there wasn’t going to be a wedding. Just then, Liz announced that the bride was ready, and Nina shook her head, confused. Scout walked down the aisle, scattering rose petals and getting a hug and kiss from her father at the altar. Then everyone rose as the wedding march began. After a pregnant pause, the doors finally opened, and Willow entered the church, looking lovely in her wedding gown. Drew smiled at his bride-to-be, but Willow’s face was inscrutable. Nina’s eyes widened as she wondered which way this was going to go.
