Trump Concedes He Was Angry at Epstein for 'Stealing' Spa Worker, 17

Trump's Claims About Epstein and Mar-a-Lago Staff
Donald Trump has recently made statements about Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting that the late financier "stole" young women from his staff at Mar-a-Lago. This includes Virginia Giuffre, a woman who was one of Epstein’s most prominent victims and who accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault. These comments have added another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding Epstein's legacy.
Trump revealed for the first time that Giuffre, who worked at the spa on the grounds of his estate in Palm Beach, was recruited by Epstein. “I think she worked at the spa,” he said when asked if she was among those taken by Epstein. “I think that was one of the people. He stole her.”
He went on to explain that other employees had complained about Epstein taking people from the spa. However, he claims he didn’t know about it initially. When he did find out, he confronted Epstein, saying, “I told him, I said: ‘Listen, we don’t want you taking our people—whether it was spa or not spa—I don’t want to take our people.’ And he was fine, and then not too long after that, he did it again. And I said: out of here!”
The Background of Virginia Giuffre
According to Department of Justice documents, Giuffre was 17 years old when Ghislaine Maxwell, an associate of Epstein, recruited her from Mar-a-Lago around the year 2000. Over the following months, she was paid to provide Epstein with sexualized massages at his Palm Beach residence. She also traveled with Epstein and Maxwell to various locations, including New York and the Virgin Islands, on Epstein’s private plane.
Giuffre, who passed away by suicide in Australia earlier this year, was one of the earliest and most vocal advocates for criminal charges against Epstein and his associates. Her accusations led to widespread public attention, especially when she claimed that Prince Andrew had sexually abused her during her teenage years. While Prince Andrew has denied these allegations, he agreed to an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre and donated to her charity.
Trump's Response to the Scandal
Despite Giuffre’s well-documented story, this is the first time Trump has publicly acknowledged her connection to his former staff since the recent scandal over the Epstein files emerged. For weeks, Trump has tried to distance himself from Epstein, who died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial.
However, Trump recently revealed that he and Epstein had a falling out because Epstein was recruiting his employees, which eventually led to Epstein being removed from Mar-a-Lago. On Tuesday, he expanded on these comments while returning to Washington from Scotland, emphasizing that the individuals "stolen" were young staffers working at the spa.
“It’s one of the best spas in the world, at Mar-a-Lago, and people were taken out of the spa—hired by him. In other words: gone,” Trump said.
Ongoing Controversies and Legal Developments
Trump’s remarks come as the Epstein saga continues to dominate discussions in Washington. His refusal to rule out pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a prison sentence for her role in Epstein’s crimes, has drawn further scrutiny.
Maxwell recently met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, where, according to her lawyer David Markus, she was questioned about more than 100 people connected to Epstein. Among those individuals could be the president himself, who spent years associating with the disgraced financier. Despite this, Trump has consistently maintained that he had no involvement in Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking activities involving young women and girls.
