Trump Claims Epstein 'Stole' Young Women From Mar-a-Lago Spa

Trump's Claims About Jeffrey Epstein and Mar-a-Lago
President Donald Trump has continued to address questions surrounding his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted sex offender, by making new claims about how Epstein allegedly took employees from the Mar-a-Lago resort. These remarks come as Trump faces ongoing scrutiny over his connections to Epstein and other related figures.
During a press briefing on Air Force One while returning from Scotland, Trump elaborated on his past interactions with Epstein. He claimed that Epstein had taken young women who worked at the resort’s spa, including Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most vocal accusers. Giuffre, who passed away by suicide in April 2021, had previously worked at Mar-a-Lago. Trump stated, “I think she worked in the spa, I think so. I think that was one of the people — yeah, he stole her.”
Trump also emphasized that Giuffre had no complaints about the resort or its management. However, these statements have not been independently verified. A former attorney for Giuffre did not respond to requests for comment from The Hill.
When asked if the workers Epstein took from Mar-a-Lago were primarily young women, Trump confirmed, “Yes, they were.” He added that many of them were spa employees. “People that work in the spa — I have a great spa, one of the best spas in the world at Mar-a-Lago — and people were taken out of the spa, hired by him. In other words, gone,” Trump said.
He described how other employees began complaining about Epstein taking staff from the resort. Trump claimed he was unaware of the situation until later, when he confronted Epstein. “I said, ‘Listen, we don’t want you taking our people.’ Whether it was spa or not spa, I don’t want him taking people. And he was fine, then not too long after that, he did it again, and I said, ‘out of here.’”
These comments build on previous statements made by Trump earlier in the week, when he explained why he had expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. “For years, I wouldn’t talk to Jeffrey Epstein … because he did something that was inappropriate. He hired help,” Trump said. He added, “He stole people that worked for me. I said, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ He did it again, and I threw him out of the place.”
In addition to his remarks about Epstein, Trump has avoided addressing whether he would consider pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of Epstein who is currently serving a prison sentence. When questioned about the possibility, Trump stated, “I’m allowed to give her a pardon.” However, he noted that no one had approached him about it. “It’s in the news, about that, that aspect of it. But right now it would be inappropriate to talk about it.”
Trump also mentioned that he had not given much thought to pardoning Maxwell and urged reporters to focus on other Epstein associates and topics. His comments reflect the ongoing legal and public scrutiny surrounding Epstein’s network and the individuals connected to him.
As the conversation around Epstein continues, Trump’s statements remain under close examination, particularly as they relate to his past actions and potential influence on the events involving the convicted sex offender.
