Trump Claims Epstein 'Stole' Workers from Mar-A-Lago, Including Virginia Giuffre

Trump’s Claims About Epstein and Former Spa Workers
During a press briefing aboard Air Force One, former President Donald Trump shared details about his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. He claimed that he ended their friendship due to Epstein's alleged actions of “stealing” young women who worked at the Mar-a-Lago spa, including Virginia Giuffre, a 17-year-old at the time.
Trump was asked about comments he made over the weekend regarding his decision to ban Epstein from his Palm Beach club. He confirmed that Epstein had taken employees who worked for him, even after being warned not to recruit staff from Mar-a-Lago.
“I told him, don’t do it anymore. And he did it. I said, stay the hell out of here,” Trump said, describing how Epstein continued to poach workers despite warnings. He emphasized that Epstein had stolen spa workers, which led to their separation.
When pressed further about whether Giuffre was among those taken, Trump confirmed her involvement. “I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people,” he said. He also added that Giuffre had no complaints about the situation.
Giuffre, who died by suicide in 2021, claimed that Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, spotted her working as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago in 2000 when she was a teenager. She was then hired as a masseuse for Epstein, which eventually led to sexual abuse. Although Giuffre’s allegations were not part of criminal charges against Epstein, they became central to conspiracy theories surrounding the case.
Giuffre accused Epstein of pressuring her into having sex with powerful men but never directly named Trump in any of her accusations. Maxwell, who has denied these claims, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse underage girls.
The White House initially stated that Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago because he was acting like a “creep.” However, Trump has faced criticism for his administration’s refusal to release more records about Epstein, despite promises of transparency. This issue has created some tension within his political coalition.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to the Epstein case. He has not been accused of any crimes by law enforcement and has never been the subject of an investigation.
Ongoing Legal Developments
Maxwell, Epstein’s imprisoned former girlfriend, recently gave an interview inside a Florida courthouse to the Justice Department’s No. 2 official. However, officials have not disclosed what she said during the meeting. Her lawyers have stated that she is willing to answer more questions from Congress if granted immunity from future prosecution.
The House Oversight Committee, which subpoenaed Maxwell for a deposition, has indicated it will not consider granting the immunity she requested. The committee’s spokesperson told the Associated Press that they would not entertain such a request.
The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment on Trump’s remarks about Epstein and Giuffre. As the legal and political landscape continues to evolve, the Epstein case remains a focal point of public and media interest.
Public Reaction and Conspiracy Theories
Despite the passage of time since Epstein’s death, the case still sparks controversy and speculation. Some of Trump’s allies have promoted conspiracy theories surrounding the matter, adding to the complexity of the narrative.
Trump has expressed frustration that the issue is still being discussed, even though he has maintained his innocence throughout. His administration’s reluctance to release additional information has only fueled further scrutiny and debate.
As the story continues to unfold, the public remains engaged, seeking clarity and accountability in a case that has touched on issues of power, influence, and justice. The legacy of Epstein and the individuals involved, such as Giuffre and Maxwell, continues to shape discussions around accountability and the pursuit of truth.
