53rd Street and Elmore Circle (Davenport): Drivers going north or south on Elmore Circle cannot cross 53rd Street while crews are patching the intersection. Only right turns will be allowed onto 53rd Street, and there is no left turn access from Elmore Circle onto 53rd Street. The disruption is expected to be short-term.

Fort Madison Bridge (Fort Madison, Iowa/Nauvoo, Ill.): Temporarily closed for important repairs from July 7 to August 22, and again from September 15 to November 7.

Mulberry Avenue (Muscatine): Sidewalk reconstruction project from June 30 to August 29. No parking on the northeast side of the street between 6th and 10th Streets. The sidewalk is expected to be paved and open by August 8, with the project completed by August 29.

E 53rd Street and Elmore Avenue (Davenport): Lane reductions expected at and near the intersection from June 30 to mid-August. Work will be done at night, while adjacent work will be performed during the day. Patching to replace concrete panels in poor condition.

Highway 61 over Highway 34 (Burlington): The Iowa DOT will start a bridge deck overlay and general maintenance. Traffic will be one lane in each direction, with ramp closures in place. Traffic exiting Highway 34 will be temporarily detoured through Burlington using Curran Street and Agency Street.

Iowa 92 (Columbus Junction): Closed from Louisa County road X-17 to 2nd Street in the city of Columbus Junction from June 2 to mid-October. Marked detour routes around Highway 92 will add to travel times.

3rd Street Resurfacing Project (Davenport): Progress is being made on the southern lanes between Telegraph and Howell. Work will shift to the northern lanes once the milling, subbase, leveling base, and final asphalt layer is applied. Sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps will be installed while resurfacing is done.

Iowa 136, North Bridge (Clinton County): Bridge deck overlay project from May 12 to September 30. The North Bridge will be closed to all traffic, with a detour to the Highway 30 bridge.

Happy Joe Drive off Middle Road (Bettendorf): Reduced to one-way traffic northbound between Middle Road and Tech Drive. A detour will be in place for southbound traffic. Tech Drive will be closed to through traffic at Happy Joe Drive, with access only via Middle Road.

120th Street (Muscatine): Closed to traffic for a bridge replacement and grading project over Mud Creek from April 30 to about 3-4 months. The closure is from Western Avenue (Y30) to Vine Avenue.

Bridge over railroad tracks on East Locust (Davenport): Rehabilitation from April 29 to August. Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction through the work zone. Repairs will begin on the north side of the bridge and shift to the south.

Harrison Street Bridge (Davenport): Rehabilitation work from April 7 to November. Travel will be reduced to two lanes between W 35th and W 32nd Streets. A temporary connection to the Duck Creek Recreational Trail will be installed, and the trail will be rerouted across Harrison Street with a temporary pedestrian signal.

Iowa 136 between U.S. 61 and Clinton County Road Y-32 (Clinton County): Bridge replacements from March 31 to November 14. Roads will be closed to roadway traffic starting at 6 a.m. March 31 until Nov. 14, with a marked detour using U.S. 61, Iowa 64, and Iowa 136.

U.S. 30 between Wheatland and Calamus (Clinton County): Bridge replacements over the Wapsipinicon River. One lane will be closed.

U.S. 30 between Clinton County Road Y-4E/130th Ave. near Wheatland, and Clinton County Road Y-44/170th Ave. near Calamus.

New This Week
- 19th Avenue (Moline): Closed from 7th to 12th Street for daytime utility work from August 7 to 14. A detour to 16th Avenue will be in place.
Ongoing Alerts

Airport Road (Rock Island County): Work zone from just east of the Rock Island-Milan Parkway and north of the Quad Cities International Airport. Workers will be patching and resurfacing, with daily lane closures controlled by flaggers.

15th Avenue (East Moline): Closed to traffic between 6th and 7th Streets as part of East Moline’s Downtown Revitalization Project. Sidewalk access to businesses will remain open, with temporary paths installed. Free public parking is available at 649 15th Avenue.

4th Street from 10th - 12th Avenue (Fulton): Closed to traffic from July 7 to replace the curb, gutter, sidewalks, light poles, and water service lines. Temporary construction fence will be installed behind the curb and gutter so customers can still use the sidewalks to access businesses.

U.S. 67, Illinois 135 (Viola, Warren & Mercer Co.): Construction from July 7 to December. Involves repairs, a deck overlay, pavement patching, resurfacing, and guardrail improvements. Daytime lane closures are required.

U.S. 34 (Warren County): From just south of Monmouth to just south of Kirkwood. Pavement patching and resurfacing as well as guardrail improvements. Work will require lane closures and flaggers will control traffic.

Moline 7th Avenue from 15th Street to 19th Street (Moline): Improvements include full concrete pavement replacement, lane width reductions, widened sidewalks, improved lighting, streetscaping elements, landscaping, utility upgrades, and other miscellaneous work. A detour route will be in place throughout construction. Signalized intersections at 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th Streets will be removed, with modern single-lane roundabouts installed at 15th and 18th Streets.

U.S. Rt 6 over Mosquito Creek (Henry County): Work zone about 2 miles west of Interstate 80. Work will consist of bridge repairs and installing a concrete overlay on the bridge deck. One lane of traffic will be maintained using temporary traffic signals.

I-80 (Bureau-Henry County line): Work zone 10 miles of I-80 from the Bureau-Henry County line to east of the Illinois 40 interchange (exit 45). Resurfacing and patching of the westbound lanes will cause traffic to be redirected to the eastbound lanes with one lane in each direction. The project includes repairs to several bridges and culverts in the work zone.

I-80 (Bureau, LaSalle Counties): Work zone from one mile west of the Illinois 89 interchange (exit 70) to just west of the Illinois 251 interchange (exit 75). Road resurfacing overnight between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday. There will be one lane open in both directions.

I-74 Bridge replacement over Spoon River (Knox County): Project will remove and replace the eastbound span. Two-way traffic will use the westbound bridge using crossovers. Work is expected to be finished in Dec.

U.S. 67 over North Henderson Creek (Mercer County): Work will begin on the bridge carrying U.S. 67 over North Henderson Creek about seven miles south of Viola. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and will be directed by temporary traffic signals.

I-80 from the Rock River to south of U.S. 6 (Henry County): Work includes removing and replacing the bridge decks on multiple structures, including over the Rock River and over Cleveland Road in Colona. Other bridges will be repaired within the work zone, and those improvements will include pavement patching and resurfacing of I-80 in the work zone.

I-180 between mile marker 7 and 8 (Bureau County): Roadway improvement with expected lane restrictions/closures from Dec. 11, 2024, to Oct. 2026.
