Tracy Davidson to Exit NBC10 This Fall

A New Chapter for a Veteran Journalist
After nearly three decades with NBC10, longtime reporter and anchor Tracy Davidson is preparing to take a significant step in her career. She will be leaving the station in the fall of this year to focus entirely on public speaking. This transition marks the end of an era for many who have followed her work over the years.
Tracy made the announcement on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, sharing a heartfelt message that highlighted her deep connection to the station and the community. She emphasized that while journalists are often taught to focus on the news rather than themselves, this moment was about sharing a personal milestone.
For 30 years, Tracy has been a part of the NBC10 team, serving as both a weekday anchor and consumer reporter with NBC10 Responds. Her dedication to storytelling and community engagement has left a lasting impact. She has participated in hundreds of events across the Greater Philadelphia area, representing the station with professionalism and passion.
Throughout her career, Tracy has received numerous accolades. In 2008 and 2013, she was honored with the Best News Anchor Emmy for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Temple University recognized her with the Lew Klein Alumni in Media Award in 2013. She has also been acknowledged as one of Pennsylvania’s Most Powerful and Influential Women by the National and Pennsylvania Diversity Council. In 2014, she was inducted into Philadelphia’s Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame, and in 2017, she received the “Hero Award” from the Montgomery Child Advocacy project.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tracy has devoted much of her time to community service. As an advocate for victims of domestic violence, she has been honored by organizations such as Laurel House in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and Vera House in Syracuse, New York. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Philabundance and as the Honorary Chair for the March of Dimes’ Walk America/March for Babies. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of Manor College.
One of Tracy's most notable contributions is her role in co-hosting a bi-annual event for women called “Lifting Your Voice.” This initiative is designed to educate, empower, and connect women through keynote speeches focused on building resilience and confidence. Through this platform, she continues to inspire and support others.
Tracy has been leading personal development workshops for women and speaking to business professionals across the region and the country for over a decade. The demand for her insights on topics like resilience, leadership, listening, faith, and focus has grown significantly in recent years. She finds fulfillment in this new chapter, which allows her to continue serving others in a different capacity.
Although she will not be leaving NBC10 until later this fall, Tracy wanted to share her decision early, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the station's journey. She thanked viewers for their trust and for being an essential part of her life.
As Tracy moves forward, the community and colleagues at NBC10 will undoubtedly miss her presence. However, they also celebrate her accomplishments and wish her continued success in her new endeavors. Her legacy as a dedicated journalist and passionate advocate will remain an important part of the station's history.
