According to reports, Cruise was also seen protectively placing his hands near de Armas to shield her as passersby moved in front of them.

Last month, de Armas also heaped praise on Cruise after he publicly endorsed "Ballerina," the "John Wick" spin-off she starred in. Cruise had described the work of its creators as "outstanding" during his press tour for "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning."

Reacting to Cruise's gesture, de Armas told Variety's Marc Malkin that the actor "supports every movie." She added, "He really wants the industry and cinema to do well and [wants] people going to the theaters. We're working together, so he got to see 'Ballerina' and he actually really liked it. He loved the 'John Wicks.'"

"It is very special that someone like him is supporting ['Ballerina']. It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together," the actress also remarked.
