Stelen Keith Covel, the 28-year-old son of the late country music legend Toby Keith and his wife Tricia Lucus, has become a father for the first time. The couple welcomed their daughter, Millie Brooks Covel, with the announcement shared on Instagram on Saturday, August 16. In the post, the proud parents displayed a photo of their newborn wrapped in a white onesie adorned with pink bows, resting in a crib. Alongside the image, they placed an embroidered name flag that revealed the baby’s name.

"Millie is here 💕 We love you so much little girl," the couple wrote in their joint caption. This joyous moment marks a new chapter in their lives, as the couple had previously announced their pregnancy back in February 2025, just over a year after Toby Keith's passing.

A Growing Family

Stelen is the youngest of Toby Keith's three children. The singer adopted Tricia’s first daughter, Shelley, who is now 44, after they married in 1984. The couple later had their first child together, Krystal, in September 1985. Stelen was born in April 1997, making him the only son of the country icon.

The news of the new addition came just over a year after Toby Keith passed away at the age of 62. He had been diagnosed with stomach cancer two and a half years prior to his death. The best mentor a man could ask for."

At the end of his tribute, Stelen wrote, "It’s not goodbye forever; it’s just goodbye for now. I love you cowboy. 🤠 🤍."

Haley, Stelen’s wife, also shared her own tribute to her late father-in-law. She posted a photo of Toby Keith walking her down the aisle at her wedding in November 2021. "I'll never have the right words to say. Toby was larger than life at home and on stage. It's a complete honor to be his daughter-in-law," she wrote. "He took me in as his own and I'll be forever grateful for that. He touched the lives of so many and I'm blessed to be one of those."
