Kelley Wolf's Side of the Story

Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of comedian Scott Wolf, is sharing her side of the ongoing divorce and the controversial psychiatric holds she has faced. Through a detailed statement on Instagram, she expressed her financial struggles despite a court order that required her former partner to cover her living expenses. She also criticized the system, claiming she was wrongfully held against her will on two separate occasions.

Scott and Kelley Wolf were married for 21 years before they announced their separation in June 2025. While Scott, known for his role in "Party of Five," filed for divorce, he has repeatedly been in the spotlight due to the unusual behavior of his estranged wife. However, Kelley’s recent statements paint a different picture of her situation.

Financial Struggles and Dignity

In her lengthy statement, Kelley described her recent dilemma of where to sleep. She had two options: either sleep in her car or stay in a booked room at a hotel she once loved in Utah. “I chose neither,” she said. “Because dignity matters.” She revealed that she had only $6 to her name and relied on support from her brother.

Kelley claimed she used to be a renowned consultant, but now finds herself in a system that tries to erase her existence. She also shared that her mother called her a “drug addict” after seeing toxicology reports from her involuntary psychiatric holds. According to Kelley, both reports showed no drugs and no diagnosis. The only note was: “Kelley incited a riot and turned patients against staff.”

Fighting for Freedom

Kelley admitted that part of the report was true—she did not incite a riot, but she claimed she was fighting against a destructive system. “I couldn't stay silent while men and women were being labeled as ‘crazy,’ held for up to 180 days, and forced to take drugs against their will,” she said.

She emphasized her commitment to helping others, stating, “I helped three people get out last week. I will help more. I'm not done until every woman who asked for freedom and got a sentence instead is seen. Is safe. Is free.”

Kelley also addressed the temporary restraining order (TRO) that Scott filed against her. “Let’s be even clearer: That TRO would’ve kept me in Summit Behavioral indefinitely,” she said. She stressed that if she had believed the accusations, she would still be inside. Instead, she is alive, laughing, and camping.

A New Relationship and Support

Kelley revealed she is currently dating someone kind and awake, crediting him for keeping her off the streets. “I’m in a beautiful home tonight because a man who barely knew me saw the truth and acted with integrity,” she explained. She also thanked those who supported her during the backlash, acknowledging their belief in her story.

Her statement comes a month after Scott filed the TRO in a Utah court, backed by a declaration from his brother. A source close to Kelley told The Blast that she was worried about the impact of the restraining order on her three children. “It’s so sad for the kids, but Kelley is ready to fight like hell for her children. It is not warranted, it’s cruel. And it’s incorrect,” the source said.

The Psychiatric Holds

Kelley was first placed under an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold on June 13 after she called authorities to her Utah residence, claiming she did not feel safe in her brother-in-law's presence. She noted that her brother-in-law was there to help with her children, but he and her son allegedly ganged up against her. “I am shaking, terrified, and I need help. I want to enter the home, and they are blocking my entrance to the home. What do I do?” she told dispatch.

Despite her claims, authorities deemed her the problem. Someone at her home allegedly claimed she attempted to strangle them on March 6, 2025. She was placed on a second psychiatric hold on July 6 for an alleged knife-linked incident.

A Call for Help at Scott’s Home

According to The Blast, a 911 call was made at Scott’s Utah home, linked to his issues with Kelley. A male caller, presumably Scott, claimed his ex-wife might show up at the Park City residence he shared with his children. He alleged that she knew their flight plans and could cause a scene. This call was made a month before Scott was granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of his three children.

Scott was ordered to pay Kelley $10,000 monthly to cover her living expenses. Additionally, he was responsible for her car payments, minimum credit card obligations, and select attorney fees.

What Comes Next?

As the divorce continues to unfold, the public is watching closely to see what happens next in this turbulent chapter of Scott Wolf's life. With both sides presenting their perspectives, the outcome remains uncertain.
