As the second half of 2025 approaches, several retail projects that were announced earlier this year are beginning to take shape in San Antonio. While some developments have already opened their doors, others are still under construction, facing challenges such as inflation, tariff increases, and community concerns. These new retail spaces are set to transform various neighborhoods, offering a mix of shopping, dining, and services.
Bath & Body Works
A new location of Bath & Body Works has opened at Westover Marketplace on San Antonio’s Far Westside. This store features a unique design aimed at attracting Generation Z shoppers, with a spacious floor plan, interactive product testing, and well-organized aisles. The location is ideal for those looking for skincare and fragrance products in a modern setting.

Burlington
Burlington has expanded its presence in San Antonio with three new locations across the city, bringing its total number of stores in Texas to 126. Two of these stores are expected to open soon at Crosstowne Mercado and Brooks Corner shopping centers, while a third will be located on the Northwest side of the city. The new store on Bandera Road is scheduled to open in August.

Dollar Tree
A new Dollar Tree is currently under construction at Park North Shopping Center. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing, the store is expected to be completed by October 2025, which could allow it to open in time for Halloween shopping.

Marshall's and Sierra Trading Post
Marshall's and Sierra Trading Post are both set to open at The Rim Shopping Center between July and September of this year. Construction on the Marshall's store began in June, and it is expected to be complete by September 14. Cottonwood Pointe Retail Center

Providence on the Green and Stone Oak Mercantile
Investors are pouring over $11 million into two retail developments in the Stone Oak area. Providence on the Green, near The Links at Canyon Springs and The Coves neighborhoods, has been in development for almost three years. The second project, Stone Oak Mercantile, is expected to include popular spots like Chick-fil-A and Black Rock Coffee, along with the city’s first Crust Pizza Co.

The Shoppes at Babcock
Residents in the Country View Village and Tanglewood neighborhoods will soon have access to The Shoppes at Babcock, which will host a pizza restaurant, coffee shop, and martial arts school. The grand opening is planned for this summer.

Alsatian Oaks and Town East Crossing
Castroville, a small town west of San Antonio, is preparing for its first major shopping district, Alsatian Oaks. This development will include a TJ Maxx, James Avery, and more. Retail Project at Talley Road and Wiseman Boulevard
