Pete Davidson's Guilt Over Pregnancy Announcement

Pete Davidson, the comedian and actor known for his work on Saturday Night Live, has shared his feelings of guilt regarding how he and his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt, announced their pregnancy. The couple, who have been in a relationship since March, revealed last month that they are expecting their first child together. However, Davidson has since expressed regret over how the news was made public.

Elsie, 29, took to social media to share the news with a series of video clips and photos. Her Instagram post included messages like “Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” along with images of the couple hugging, wearing spa face masks, holding hands, and visiting a hospital where Elsie was seen having a sonogram. One of the posts featured the final sonogram, giving the world its first glimpse of the baby.

On The Breakfast Club podcast, Davidson voiced concerns about the potential pressure that publicizing their pregnancy might place on Elsie. He said, “I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s--t. Anything I do or she does now is gonna be a thing. She's a very private person, and she's the one doing all the work.” He added, “It's supposed to be a beautiful experience.”

Despite being an actress and model, Elsie is not entirely unfamiliar with the spotlight. However, Davidson worries that their pregnancy could attract more attention than expected. He admitted, “She's never made me feel this way or said anything, but I feel so guilty and horrible that I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy.”

Their relationship began to gain public attention in March when they were spotted sharing kisses in public. They officially confirmed their relationship two months later by attending the Blossom Ball red carpet event together in May.

Davidson’s personal life has often been in the headlines, with previous relationships involving celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Kate Beckinsale. In a candid conversation with PageSix in February, he expressed frustration over being more recognized for his relationships than his comedy career. He said, “I've had some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women, and when they've ended, it's been cool. Everyone is dating everyone, and it's Hollywood.”

He also mentioned the challenges of being in the public eye, saying, “Because I'm ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell.” Despite this, he confessed, “It's embarrassing because you want people to write about your work. I was one of the youngest ever cast members on SNL and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”

In December, during an interview with W magazine, Davidson emphasized his desire to be remembered for his professional achievements rather than his personal life. He stated, “I just want to be known for doing good work. I want to be out there only when it's [a] movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures. That's when I want to be seen. I don't want to be this f** loser who just dates people. That's not who I am.”
