Judge Christine Schaller imposed strict penalties on Mr. Ali, sentencing him to the maximum allowed for each charge he was convicted of. This includes 14 months for assault in the second degree, 12 months for unlawful imprisonment, and 364 days for assault in the fourth degree, with 182 days suspended. The total sentence amounts to approximately 20 months. In addition to the prison time, Mr. Ali is required to complete a domestic violence evaluation and attend a parenting class. A 10-year no contact order was issued for the victim, and a 24-month no contact order was also placed on the victim’s boyfriend, who was assaulted during the incident.

Mrs. Ali received a sentence of 364 days for violating a court order, with 83 days suspended for 24 months. She is also prohibited from contacting the victim’s boyfriend for 24 months. It was previously noted that Mrs. Ali had been barred from Timberline High School, and a protection order had been issued for the boyfriend following an earlier incident at the school.
