Cam Skattebo Shows Promise with the Giants

Cam Skattebo has been making a strong impression since being selected by the New York Giants in this year’s draft. Known for his physicality and versatility during his time at Arizona State, Skattebo is now working to prove that the Giants made the right decision by choosing him with the No. 104 pick.

During his college career, Skattebo was one of the most dominant running backs in the nation. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry, racking up 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. In addition to his ground game, he also contributed significantly through the air, catching 45 passes for 605 yards and three more scores. Despite missing most of the spring practices, Skattebo has been fully committed since the start of training camp. His performances have already caught the attention of his teammates, including defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux, who praised Skattebo’s intensity. “He showed he got a little dog,” Thibodeaux said. “He runs tough, he runs behind his pads. I like that he got that edge to him and I feel like he’s going to be about what he says.”

While he is back with the team, the negotiations between McLaurin and the front office remain stalled. Adam Schefter, a well-known NFL insider, reported that the two sides are far apart in their expectations. Schefter noted that while McLaurin may want a deal similar to what D.K.
