Tucker added that while the team doesn’t typically do chemistry reads during casting, they did consider physical appearance when assembling the Ratliff family. “To a degree, we looked at how they might fit together visually,” she said.

White stressed the importance of making the characters look like a real family. He recalled the first season, where Sydney Sweeney, Fred Hechinger, and Steve Zahn were brought together for a camera test. “I was like, ‘Oh, these people look exactly alike. This looks like a family.’” He wanted to replicate that effect with the Ratliff family, aiming for a “brunette version of that family.” While they may not be as perfectly matched as the previous season, White believes they still manage to look related. “You want to buy it,” he said.

The cast also shared some lighthearted moments about the experience of working on The White Lotus. Coon joked that meeting actors from past seasons feels like being an astronaut. “Like you've seen Earth from space and the only other people who've seen Earth from space are other astronauts,” she said. “And so forever, the people who did these seasons will be like, ‘I see you over there.’”

White ended the conversation on a heartfelt note, expressing his deep gratitude to the cast. “Can I just say, because I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to say this again with all y’all here—thank you so much for being so amazing,” he said.
