FOX 13 crews also observed a man being detained at the scene, though it was unclear if he was connected to the robbery investigation. Perry Debusk, another neighbor, mentioned, "They were searching this guy over there, and they took him in the car."

Two young fathers living in the building expressed their concerns about the safety of their children. Omar Dakhil, a father, said, "I just want better for everybody." Daniel McCraw, another resident, added, "We want the best for our kids. We have people camping on the sidewalks. We can’t bring our kids outside there’s shootings."

Residents have pointed out that the John Fox Place building was intended to provide affordable housing and access to essential services. However, they have recently faced challenges both inside and outside the building. Lynn Morrow Zamalloa noted, "It’s upsetting. I hear ambulances all the time, police cars."
