Reports of Harassment and Dissemination of Private Images

A woman in South Euclid, Ohio, reported on July 31 that the father of her child shared a nude video of her on Instagram. She claimed the video was recorded during their relationship. The man, who is 26 years old, was contacted by officers and explained that he posted the video as retaliation because he believed she had threatened him. He was subsequently charged with disseminating an image of another person without consent.

Theft Incidents at Walmart

On July 29, officers met with Walmart loss prevention after an East Cleveland woman, 36, was detained for attempting to steal $230 worth of merchandise. She had previously been banned from all Walmart stores due to a theft at another location. She was cited for theft and received a lifetime ban. She was later arrested on multiple warrants and handed over to Eastlake police. The following day, another individual was arrested at the same store for shoplifting. This man, 69, had also been banned from the store in 2024. He was cited for theft, given a two-year ban, and arrested on one of several active warrants.

Property Damage at Rally’s

Around 5 a.m. on July 29, officers noticed a picnic table in front of Rally’s had been flipped onto its side and appeared to be torn from its concrete base. Later that day, a Rally’s employee reported that a vehicle had struck the table while passing through the drive-thru the previous night. The driver left the scene before the employee could check on them. There was also a cracked pole in the drive-thru lanes, but it remains unclear if the driver was responsible for that damage as well. The incident is currently under investigation.

Animal Control Issues

On August 2, a girl flagged down an officer while walking her dog, reporting that a loose dog had been following her. She pointed out the home where the dog lived, and officers spoke with the owner. They learned this was the fifth time that year the dog had escaped. The 34-year-old owner was cited for allowing the animal to be at large.

Probation Violation and General Assistance

On July 30, the county sheriff’s office reported that a man on court-ordered supervision was found in violation of his probation. His ankle monitor indicated he was in the city. Officers located the 65-year-old man and held him until deputies arrived to arrest him for violating his probation.

Stolen Vehicle Incident

At 9:17 p.m. on August 1, a man reported that his vehicle was stolen from KFC while he was working for Uber Eats and waiting for an order inside the business. He only realized it was missing when he exited the store. Although he had the key fob, the push-start vehicle was left unlocked and running. No suspects have been identified yet.

Fraudulent Charges on a Credit Card

On July 28, a man reported that his girlfriend made unauthorized charges on his credit card using the Lyft app. The 18-year-old woman denied making the charges, but the man requested a police report to assist his bank in investigating the fraud.

Missing Gun

A resident of Ruple Apartments reported on July 29 that her gun was either lost or stolen. Officers entered the information into the system as a stolen firearm.
