In a recent development, the attorney for the family of two brothers who were killed in a shooting at a Kansas City convenience store has revealed that video footage of the incident supports a murder charge. Taylor then appears to punch Hernandez, prompting him to grab a gun from his waistband and chase the brothers through the store before shooting them. Both Taylor and Byron Garrett are seen falling to the floor. The video then shows Hernandez pistol-whipping Byron before walking away.

Prosecutors have charged Hernandez with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Byron Garrett, but he is not facing any charges for the death of Taylor Garrett. Lotven claims that the confrontation actually began earlier when Hernandez was driving down a wrong-way street. The Garretts flagged him down to inform him of his mistake, leading to an argument. However, the police have not interviewed her.
