Only 29 units will be produced, each embodying the most powerful V12 hybrid system ever developed by the company. The Fenomeno is a longtail two-seater that combines a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with three electric motors. Together, they produce a combined output of 1,080 CV, roughly equivalent to 1,065 horsepower. The powertrain delivers this immense energy to all four wheels through a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a compact 7-kWh battery designed for immediate power rather than extended electric range.

Heritage Meets Innovation

While deeply rooted in Lamborghini's heritage, the Fenomeno looks forward with a bold, futuristic approach. It marks the 20th anniversary of Lamborghini Centro Stile, the in-house design studio responsible for its distinctive silhouette. The car features a single character line that stretches from the front to the rear, with a cabin resembling a fighter-jet canopy between muscular haunches. The surfaces are cleaner and more purist compared to recent models, reflecting a return to simplicity and elegance.

The design also incorporates updated branding elements, including DRLs that mimic the bull's horns and a vertical reinterpretation of the Y motif at the rear. Underneath, the car features a carbon-rich "monofuselage" with a Forged Composite front structure, an aerospace-inspired approach that has been refined since the Reventón era.

Uncompromising Performance

Performance figures for the Fenomeno are as impressive as its design. Lamborghini claims it is the fastest road car the brand has ever produced, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and reaching 124 mph in 6.7 seconds. The top speed exceeds 217 mph, with a weight-to-power ratio of 1.64 kg/CV, highlighting the car's performance-oriented chassis systems.

A new 6D sensor near the center of gravity feeds an Integrated Vehicle Estimator that uses Kalman filtering to predict grip and vehicle state. This allows brake and chassis controllers to react preemptively, enhancing stability and control. The Integrated Power Brake unit works in tandem with this estimator to reduce stopping distances and stabilize the car during track driving.

Aerodynamics and Efficiency

The aerodynamic design of the Fenomeno is equally sophisticated and functional. An S-Duct at the nose increases front downforce and channels air through the hood and along a concave roof toward both the engine airscoop and a dramatic omega-shaped active rear wing. Front aero curtains reduce wheel wake and feed the radiators, while sculpted doors act as air managers directing flow into enlarged side intakes.

Lamborghini states that the side-cooling package is over 30% more efficient than on its series V12s, supporting the car's mission to maintain performance at high speeds. Underbody work and a race-inspired diffuser complete the aerodynamic package, ensuring stability at very high velocities.

Advanced Braking and Tires

The braking system introduces CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic rotors with a 3D long-fiber structure and a bespoke surface treatment. These components are designed to enhance friction and extend service life under extreme thermal loads. Cooling paths to both discs and calipers have been optimized for consistent pedal feel.

The car features manually adjustable racing shocks, allowing owners to fine-tune ride height and damping for specific tracks. Single-nut forged wheels, wrapped in bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires, offer optional semi-slicks for circuit use. Run-flat technology is available, and the wheel design includes turbine-style elements for added aerodynamic efficiency.

Hybrid System and Interior

The hybrid system is engineered for both control and character. Two oil-cooled axial-flow e-motors drive the front axle, providing torque vectoring and energy recovery, while a third radial-flux motor supplements the rear axle. Depending on the drive mode, the rear e-motor can decouple to act as a generator or engage downstream of the transmission for all-wheel-drive electric running.

Inside, the cabin embraces a minimalist and high-tech aesthetic. Three slim displays replace most physical switches, allowing the driver to focus on the task at hand. The steering wheel and seating are designed for high-g stability, with carbon fiber dominating the interior. Ambient lighting enhances the spacecraft vibe, and the Ad Personam program offers hundreds of exterior paint options and near-limitless interior combinations.

A Legacy of Innovation

The name "Fenomeno" follows Lamborghini's tradition, referencing a famed bull pardoned in 2002 for its exceptional qualities. It also nods to the company's lineage of limited-run models like the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, Sián, and the modern Countach, which preview technology and form before elements filter into series production.
