A Magical Collaboration: Krispy Kreme Unveils Harry Potter-Inspired Doughnuts

Fans of the magical world of Harry Potter can now enjoy a sweet tribute to the beloved wizarding series. Krispy Kreme has launched a special “Harry Potter”-inspired doughnut collection, bringing the iconic Hogwarts houses to life in a delicious way. Starting Monday, fans across the country can visit participating Krispy Kreme locations to try out this limited-time offering.

But here’s a question that might pop into your mind: There are only four Hogwarts houses—Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw—but there are five doughnut varieties. So where does the fifth one come from? The answer lies with the Sorting Hat, the magical artifact that assigns students to their respective houses. This year, the Sorting Hat gets its own doughnut as part of the collection.

The new line-up includes:

• Gryffindor Doughnut: An unglazed shell filled with cookie butter-flavored Kreme, dipped in red icing and Biscoff cookie crumble, topped with golden icing drizzles and the Gryffindor crest.
• Slytherin Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut topped with chocolate and green buttercream swirls, a chocolate cookie sugar blend, and the Slytherin crest.
• Hufflepuff Doughnut: An unglazed shell filled with brown butter toffee-flavored custard, dipped in golden yellow icing, and topped with black chocolate drizzle, cookie crunch, and the Hufflepuff crest.
• Ravenclaw Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry-flavored icing, topped with Ravenclaw sprinkles and the Ravenclaw crest.
• Sorting Hat Doughnut: A filled doughnut featuring a mystery-colored Kreme representing one of the four Hogwarts Houses, then dipped in chocolate-flavored icing, sprinkled with shimmering gold stars and gold sugar, and topped with the Sorting Hat piece.

“We’re channeling the beloved magic of Harry Potter and the Houses of Hogwarts for a collection that is truly bewitching,” said Alison Holder, chief brand and product officer for Krispy Kreme. “But the magic is fleeting, and so are these doughnuts, so don’t miss your chance to try them!”

In addition to the doughnuts, Krispy Kreme has also introduced the Golden Snitch Latte, a rich golden caramel toffee-inspired drink topped with whipped cream, Biscoff cookie crumble, and a sprinkle of golden shimmer sugar. Both the doughnuts and the latte will be available for a limited time.

For those looking to collect all five, a specialty six-count assorted box of doughnuts will be available at Walmart, Kroger, and Publix. On Saturday, August 23, participating Krispy Kreme shops will give away a free Original Glazed doughnut to anyone who shows up wearing their favorite Hogwarts house colors.
