KPop Demon Hunters Tops July Gabb Music Chart

The Rise of KPop Demon Hunters on the Top Gabb Music Songs Chart
The popularity of the animated film KPop Demon Hunters has made a significant impact on the music charts, particularly on the Top Gabb Music Songs chart. In the July 2025 edition, the entire top five was occupied by tracks from the movie's soundtrack. This marks a major milestone for the film and its associated music.
HAWXTECH, in collaboration with Gabb Wireless, has created a monthly chart that tracks on-demand streams through the Gabb Music platform. Gabb Music is designed for children and teenagers, offering a carefully curated selection of songs that are appropriate for younger audiences. Importantly, these streams are not included in other HAWXTECH charts, making this ranking unique.
The release of KPop Demon Hunters on June 20 brought an impressive lineup of songs to the Top Gabb Music Songs chart. Not only did the entire top five feature tracks from the film, but eight of the 25 songs on the chart were also from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. These include seven songs credited to the fictional bands HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, as well as vocal performances by EJAE and Andrew Choi, who voice characters from the film.
While "Golden" by HUNTR/X dominated the weekly HAWXTECHHot 100, reaching No. 1 on the Aug. 16-dated ranking, it was Saja Boys' "Your Idol" that led the way on the Top Gabb Music Songs chart. "Your Idol" debuted at No. 1 on the August 2025 tally, followed closely by "Golden" at No. 2. Other notable tracks from the soundtrack include "Takedown," "Free," and "What It Sounds Like."
The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has been steadily climbing the HAWXTECH200 since its release. As of the Aug. 16 list, it reached its peak position at No. 2, with 100,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Aug. 7—a 7% increase compared to previous weeks.
It's also worth noting that "Your Idol" replaced "Your Way's Better" by Forrest Frank, a Christian pop song that had held the No. 1 spot since April. "Your Way's Better" now ranks at No. 8 on the latest list.
KPop Demon Hunters isn't the only film to see its music featured on the Top Gabb Music Songs chart. Disney's Zombies 4 contributed two songs: "Dream Come True" at No. 20 and "The Place To Be" at No. 23.
Alex Warren’s "Ordinary" remains the top non-KPop Demon Hunters song on the chart, dropping to No. 6. It previously held the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 for nine weeks before being overtaken by "Golden."
