Kennedy Heir Impersonates Melania Trump in Wild Video with Wig and Accent

A Controversial Take on the First Lady's Letter
Jack Schlossberg, a descendant of John F. Kennedy, recently sparked controversy by mocking First Lady Melania Trump's letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The 32-year-old took to social media with a video that featured him donning an ill-fitting blonde wig and imitating the first lady's Slovenian accent while reading her message. The video was captioned with a playful nod to President Donald Trump’s tendency to emphasize certain words, such as "BEAUTIFUL FIRST LADY."
In the video, Schlossberg also mimicked the president’s usual sign-off, writing: "Thank you for your attention to this matter - We want peace." After reading the letter aloud, he remarked, "What am I saying? This makes no sense. Please be more specific Miss Melania Trump." He then removed the wig and dropped the accent, offering his own thoughts on the letter.
Schlossberg expressed confusion over the content of the letter, stating, "I don't think it made any sense. I don't think it said anything beyond 'melodic laughter,' that's the only thing I could remember - and that she is calling on Putin to end the war." He suggested that the president might be better suited to address the issue, referencing the recent meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska aimed at negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine.
The first lady's letter focused on the shared dreams of children regardless of their birthplace. She wrote, "Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation's rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger." She emphasized the responsibility of leaders to nurture the next generation's hope and create a dignified world for all.
Melania also urged Putin to protect children and future generations, stating, "Each generation's descendants begin their lives with a purity—an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology." She encouraged Putin to restore the "melodic laughter" of children and serve humanity by protecting their innocence.
The issue of Russian abductions of Ukrainian children has been a sensitive topic for Ukraine. Kyiv has labeled the forced removal of tens of thousands of children to Russia or Russian-occupied territory as a war crime under the UN treaty definition of genocide. The United Nations Human Rights Office has reported that millions of Ukrainian children have suffered since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
As the war enters its third year, Trump has become more vocal in his criticism of Putin's continued missile and drone strikes on Ukraine. He has credited Melania for highlighting the Russian leader's violence against Ukrainian civilians. Trump described his conversations with Putin as pleasant, noting that after their meetings, missiles often targeted Ukrainian cities.
Despite the meeting in Alaska, Trump and Putin did not reach a ceasefire deal, acknowledging that there was still work to be done. However, Trump claimed he made "some headway" and believed both sides reached some agreements. He expressed optimism about future negotiations, stating, "We didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there."
Trump has advocated for a direct peace settlement rather than a ceasefire, a proposal that has drawn criticism from European analysts who view it as favorable to Putin. He also ruled out the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and indicated no desire to see Crimea returned to Ukrainian rule. In a post on Truth Social, Trump suggested that Zelenskyy could end the war immediately if he chose to, referencing the previous administration's handling of Crimea and expressing skepticism about Ukraine's NATO aspirations.
