Key Incidents and Delays

6 p.m.

An overturned vehicle on the northbound Garden State Parkway, north of Exit 109 in Middletown, has caused a lane to be blocked. This incident has resulted in a four-mile rubbernecking delay between Exit 105 in Tinton Falls and Exit 109. Motorists are advised to take caution and plan accordingly.

5:01 p.m.

A disabled vehicle that had been blocking the center lane on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 89-C in Lakewood has been cleared. This should help reduce some of the congestion in the area.

4:47 p.m.

Another disabled vehicle has been reported blocking the center lane of the northbound Garden State Parkway, north of Exit 89-C in Lakewood. Drivers should expect delays in this section of the highway.

4:09 p.m.

Delays have shifted further north on the Garden State Parkway. Motorists are facing a 2.5-mile delay from the Asbury Toll Plaza to Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, as well as a 1.5-mile delay near Exit 109 in Middletown. These delays are expected to persist for the next few hours.

4:05 p.m.

There are pockets of delays along Route 35 and Route 36 from Mantoloking and Bay Head all the way to Sea Bright and Highlands. Additionally, the right lane and shoulder on the Manasquan River Bridge in Brielle remain closed due to an earlier fuel spill.

3:10 p.m.

A two-mile delay on the northbound Garden State Parkway has continued, south of Exit 89-A in Lakewood to Exit 90 in Brick. This delay is likely to impact travelers heading north through Ocean County.

2:56 p.m.

Despite what might seem like a light traffic day, there is a two-mile delay near Garden State Parkway Exit 98. This delay is steady and is expected to clear up after the Judy Blume Service Area in Wall.

1:57 p.m.

The travel time for the 63-mile trip on the Garden State Parkway north from Exit 63 to the Raritan toll plaza is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in the express lanes and 1 hour and 17 minutes in the local lanes. This information can help drivers plan their routes more effectively.

12:42 p.m.

A crash in the local lanes on the northbound Garden State Parkway has blocked the left lane just south of Exit 105 in Tinton Falls. Other northbound delays continue, including a two-mile delay north of Exit 98 to the Judy Blume Service Area and a two-mile delay between Exit 89-A and Exit 90.

Route 35 is also facing delays at the Manasquan River Bridge, where a fuel spill has blocked one of two lanes and the right shoulder.
