JaNa Craig Speaks Out About Kenny Rodriguez Breakup

JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez's breakup has left fans of Love Island USA wondering what led to the end of their relationship. In her first public statement about the split, JaNa hinted that the situation is far more complicated than it appears.

"Hi my loves. Thank you for all your love and support. It means the world to me. As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together," JaNa, 28, said on Tuesday, July 29, via Instagram Stories. "Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories, and none of them match up to how terrible, disgusting, and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you believed you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating."

She concluded, "Thank you for respecting my privacy, and please know as a child of God, I will always be okay."

Speculation about JaNa and Kenny, 24, calling it quits began after fans noticed changes in their social media activity. JaNa was the first to unfollow Kenny, followed by her friends—season 6 costars Serena Page and Leah Kateb. Serena’s boyfriend, Kordell Beckham, and Leah’s partner, Miguel Harichi, also stopped following Kenny on Instagram.

The group remained close after appearing on Love Island USA in June 2024. JaNa was an original Islander that season, forming connections with Coye Simmons and Connor Newsum before Kenny caught her eye. Despite their instant chemistry, the couple faced some relationship challenges, including the fallout from Casa Amor, before rekindling their romance.

"I don't want to move [to Dallas] right away. I think we could do our own thing, change our work schedules so we can spend time [and do], like, a year of visiting each other—or less maybe—but me moving to Dallas right now would be crazy," JaNa said on an episode of "The Viall Files" podcast in July 2024. "He leaves [Los Angeles, where the podcast episode was taped], today, and I'm so sad! It was like, ‘Oh, we're gonna be good and FaceTime all the time.’"

JaNa continued, "But knowing that I'm [here] until Tuesday and he's leaving today, I was like, ‘This sucks because we spent every day together for the past month and a half.’ It's like, we're naturally best friends and partners. For him to leave, it's super sad."

Kenny, meanwhile, expressed confidence in their relationship based on the time they spent together in Fiji.

“That level of communication and trust that we already have speaks volumes,” he added. “We spent eight hours on that first date, which kind of kicked off where we're at. I'm just staring at her, like, it was a lot to look at. … There really isn't much that we don't talk about.”

Ahead of their one-year anniversary, JaNa reflected on how their connection evolved.

“You know what's so crazy? When it first came out, it didn't hit me,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in June. “The first six months outside the villa, I don't think it hit me. But now that it's settled down and season 7 is coming, I was like, ‘My gosh, I did that last summer.’”
