JaNa Craig Speaks Out About Kenny Rodriguez Breakup in Harsh Posts

JaNa Craig Breaks Silence on Her Split from Kenny Rodriguez
JaNa Craig has officially confirmed her split from her "Love Island USA" boyfriend, Kenny Rodriguez. In a powerful Instagram story, she revealed that the truth behind their breakup is far more "disgusting" than any of the rumors circulating online.
"I want to thank you all for your love and support. It means the world to me," she began. "As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together. Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories, and none of them match up to how terrible, disgusting, and disappointing it truly is."
Craig went on to express the emotional toll of realizing that someone she loved wasn't who she thought they were. "Discovering that someone you loved isn't who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn't been genuine since day one has been truly devastating," she said.
She concluded with a message of strength: "Thank you for respecting my privacy. As a child of God, I will always be okay."
Kenny Rodriguez Responds to the Breakup
Less than an hour after Craig's post, Rodriguez shared his own statement on social media. His message was simple, in black text on a white background, as he reflected on the painful experience of breaking up in the public eye.
"The past few days have been incredibly difficult. I've been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately," he wrote. "Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term."
He ended with gratitude for the time they spent together and a hope for Craig’s future. "I'll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created. I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa's path forward brings her nothing but happiness."
Social Media Feud Escalates
The situation quickly escalated when Craig responded to Rodriguez’s post, calling him a "manipulative liar." She expressed frustration over his lack of accountability and accused him of hiding the truth about his character.
"You manipulative liar. You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off," she wrote.
Craig also shared posts from her friends, including Leah Kateb, who suggested that Rodriguez’s statement might have been generated by ChatGPT. Kateb added, "Tell the truth for once! Racist, clout/money hungry, and a scammer since DAY 1!!!!"
Olivia "Liv" Walker also shared a screenshot of Rodriguez’s statement, writing, "I can't even put into words how good of a person NayNay is and how hard it is (to) watch her go through something like this. @kennyrodriguez I hope this gives you the clout you always wanted you … loser."
What Caused the Breakup?
Before making her official statement, Craig remained silent on social media, leaving fans desperate for answers about one of their favorite "Love Island" couples.
Speculation about a possible rift in the beloved Season 6 cast began on July 27 when Craig unfollowed Rodriguez and removed almost all of her content featuring him from her Instagram grid. Fans and reality TV watchers noticed the move and started closely monitoring other cast members' social media accounts.
Journalist Christina Cocca even posted a warning, saying, "Red alert, ring the alarm," alongside screenshots of Craig's Instagram activity. Other fans searched for clues in footage of the couple at a birthday party the night before.
Toxic Relationship Claims
Some fans have claimed that the relationship between Craig and Rodriguez was toxic. Kaylor Martin, another "Love Island" star, has stated that she won’t watch "Beyond the Villa" because of the drama.
Additionally, several "Love Island" stars, including Leah Kateb, Serena Page, and others, have unfollowed Rodriguez. Their respective partners, Miguel Harichi and Kordell Beckham, also cut ties with him.
Most of the cast of "Love Island: Beyond the Villa," which is currently in its first season, are also not following Rodriguez. Peacock has not responded to requests for comment.
Navigating a Public Relationship
Craig and Rodriguez, who have been in a relationship since they left the villa in July 2024, confirmed their relationship status in the Season 6 reunion, which aired the following month.
On Peacock's spinoff, the couple is navigating their relationship while living in close quarters in Los Angeles. In separate interviews with USA TODAY, both Craig and Rodriguez spoke about communication being their strength.
"We're very communicative when it comes to those things: what we feel comfortable putting out there and what we don't. And I think that's just the sign of a healthy relationship," Rodriguez said.
Craig emphasized the importance of keeping some aspects of their relationship private. "I feel like your relationship is very private. You know, just you and your partner communicating 24/7," she said. "Whereas, publicly, it's like putting yourself out there, understanding what your viewers and your supporters want and navigating through that and whatever you're comfortable with."
