Jack Schlossberg’s Bold Criticism of the Trump Administration

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, has taken his criticism of the Trump administration to a new level by mocking First Lady Melania Trump. His latest move involved trolling the first lady by making fun of her letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which she delivered during the Alaska summit. The letter was accompanied by an ill-fitting blonde wig, prompting Schlossberg to take to social media with a video that highlighted his critique.

In the video, Schlossberg imitated Melania’s Slovenian accent while reading the entire letter. He then added his own commentary, showcasing his ability to mimic the style of former President Donald Trump. The caption of the post read, “A message from our BEAUTIFUL FIRST LADY,” followed by Trump's trademark sign-off, “thank you for your attention to this matter - We want peace!”

After finishing the letter, Schlossberg humorously remarked, “What am I saying? This make no sense. Please be more specific Miss Melania Trump.” His post received significant attention and sparked discussions about the content of the letter and its implications.

Melania’s letter, which was posted in full on Donald Trump’s Truth Social account, was hand-delivered to Putin during the Alaska summit. While the letter did not directly mention Ukraine or any reference to fighting, it suggested that Putin could “single-handedly restore” the “melodic laughter” of children caught in the conflict. The Daily Beast has since reached out to the White House for further comments on the matter.

Following the release of the video, Schlossberg took to X (formerly Twitter) to share another thought, stating, “Remember—It was REALLY HARD to get rid of NAPOLEON I think the current US regime might be in power for quite a while But, I LOVE attrition!! that’s the good news :)" This comment reflects his ongoing engagement with political issues and his willingness to express his views publicly.

Schlossberg has been vocal against the Trump administration throughout the year. Last month, after Republicans proposed renaming the Kennedy Center Opera House after Melania Trump, he took to Instagram to express his discontent. He stated, “The Trump Administration stands for freedom of oppression, not expression. He uses his awesome powers to suppress free expression and instill fear. But this isn’t about the arts.”

He also added, “Trump is obsessed with being bigger than JFK, with minimizing the many heroes of our past, as if that elevates him. It doesn’t. But there’s hope — art lasts forever, and no one can change what JFK and our shared history stands for."

In a separate post on X, Schlossberg playfully offered to help Trump achieve his goal of changing the name of the Kennedy Center, suggesting, “If you release your Epstein files, I can help you achieve your life-long goal of changing the name of the Kennedy center. Let’s make a fantastic deal?”

Recently, Schlossberg was appointed to the America250 Commission by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. In a statement, he thanked Schumer for his leadership and vowed to uphold the commission's mission. “I won’t let you down,” he said.

On CNN, ex-White House correspondent and author of "Free Melania," Kate Bennett, discussed the significance of Melania's letter to Putin. She described it as a demonstration of the first lady’s “independent voice” despite her low public profile. Bennett noted that Melania has always been a voice for children and wanted to convey a message to the Russian president on behalf of herself and her concern for children affected by the conflict.

Bennett also pointed out that Melania holds significant influence over her husband behind the scenes, even though she has not been seen in Washington for much of the first 200 days of Trump’s presidency. She emphasized that Melania is politically aligned with the president, particularly in terms of her conservative values. Despite her absence from public view, her letter to Putin reflects a unique blend of her personal concerns and political alignment with the administration.
