According to reports, Cabot is married to Andrew Cabot, the CEO of Privateer Rum, while Byron shares two children with his wife, Megan, who quickly dropped her husband’s last name from her Facebook profile before deactivating her account.

As the scandal gained traction, Astronomer scrambled to manage the fallout. The company placed both executives on leave as the cheating scandal went viral. On July 19, the company shared a tweet explaining that “leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.” The post also announced that Byron had tendered his resignation.

Co-founder and chief product officer Pete DeJoy stated that the company had become a “household” name almost overnight – though not for the reasons it had hoped. DeJoy was appointed interim CEO following the incident. Meanwhile, the fate of Kristin Cabot was revealed as well.
