A Surprising Revelation from Hannah Brown

Hannah Brown, a former contestant on "Bachelor Nation," recently shared an unexpected story about her engagement and wedding preparations. The Bachelorette alum revealed that she accidentally showed her fiancé, Adam Woolard, the exact wedding dress she ended up wearing before the big day.

This incident happened weeks before their July 26 destination wedding in France. Brown spoke with People about the situation, explaining how she had thrown her partner off by sending him a photo of the gown. “I’ve thrown him off, but it is the first dress that he ever saw, and I can’t wait to share that with him because I was freaking out,” she said.

The story began during Brown’s search for the perfect wedding dress. After narrowing down her choices to two options in Los Angeles, she wasn’t ready to commit and decided to take a trip to New York City for more try-ons.

While in New York, Brown visited Mark Ingram Atelier and came across a Mira Zwillinger gown called "Cheyan." It wasn’t what she initially thought she wanted, but something about it caught her attention. “It is all these little things that I said it wouldn’t be. But when I saw it on the rack, I was like, 'Wow, this is really beautiful,'” she recalled.

Brown, who currently serves as a guest host on "Bachelor in Paradise," had envisioned herself in a bright white, lacey dress. However, the gown she found featured cream leaf embroidery and a more romantic silhouette. She decided to try it on with bridal stylist Mindy Freedman Kopf.

“My mom had not even gotten in the room yet, and I put it on and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, wait, I really love this.' And I was like, 'Wait, is this my dress?'” Brown shared.

As she left the showroom for her next appointment, she decided to text a photo of the gown to a close friend. Unfortunately, she accidentally sent it to Woolard instead. “Well, I accidentally sent a picture to Adam. I sent the dress to Adam,” she said.

“I told my mom and all the people helping me at Mark Ingram, I was like, 'I just sent him the dress.' And they all gasped. [They] were like, 'Oh no, what are we going to do?' I was like, 'I don't know what to do.' It was horrible.”

The reality star revealed that Woolard responded immediately with a message saying, “Wow, this one got me,” along with a crying emoji. To create confusion, Brown quickly sent Woolard photos of several other dresses she had tried on that day. “I was just like, 'Just want to show you, having so much fun. This isn't my dress,'” she added.

She believed that since Woolard had seen so many dresses, he might not remember this particular one. “I feel so confident he's still going to have that reaction to this dress because of just his initial response to it,” she said.

After the ceremony, Brown changed into a second look, the Bayne dress from Mark Ingram Bride's Spring 2025 Portrait of a Lady collection. This gown featured a corset bodice and floral embroidered tulle layered over French Chantilly lace.

Brown’s experience highlights the importance of careful communication, especially when it comes to such significant life events. Her story also shows how a small mistake can lead to a memorable moment, which she now looks forward to sharing with her husband.
