Gospel's Terrance Bell Drops 'Party Outside' for His Dad | Watch & Groove

Terrance Bell has always carried a deep connection to music, and his latest single, “Party Outside,” showcases a new side of his artistry. The track is a vibrant blend of R&B that pays homage to the golden era of the 1970s, drawing inspiration from legends like Cool & the Gang, the Whispers, and the Commodores. For Bell, this shift in genre wasn’t just about experimenting—it was a personal tribute to his father, who he says was a big fan of R&B.
“I am my dad’s child,” Bell shared. “He loved R&B. I remember going fishing with him and seeing him dance to it. It was those classic vibes. I wanted to create something for him.”
The single, produced by T. Bell Productions, captures that nostalgic feel while adding a modern twist. Bell described the lyrics as “fun, freaky, and naughty,” which might come as a surprise to some fans who are more familiar with his work in Contemporary Gospel. However, Bell insists that his musical journey isn’t limited to one genre.
“I sing everything—Gospel, R&B, even opera,” he said. “I’m currently working on another Gospel record called ‘I Am Music,’ which will include both R&B and Gospel tracks. I love all types of music, and I’m always writing.”
Bell’s previous projects include “God Is God,” “God My Hero,” and “Preserved” featuring Joyful Praise. His R&B project “My Story” led to the release of his last single, “Perfect Man,” and now “Party Outside” marks another step in his evolving sound.
The song also features a unique line dance, a nod to Bell’s Southern roots. As a Texas native, he believes that “party outside” is part of the culture. He emphasized that the track is not only a celebration of music but also a reflection of who he is.
“I still walk with God,” he said sincerely. “But I haven’t felt this good in a long time. This song is who I am. I dedicate it to my father.”
Bell’s influence extends beyond music. He is also the author of “Flawed But Unbroken: The Regenerated Soul of a Man,” a book that explores themes of faith, resilience, and personal growth. His work in entertainment includes hosting the Uplifting Minds II (ULMII) Entertainment Conference, an annual event founded by Dr. Eunice Moseley in 1999. Now in its 26th year, the conference offers aspiring artists opportunities to showcase their talents through panel discussions, talent showcases, and a national competition with prizes valued at over $20,000.
Upcoming events for ULMII will take place virtually in Baltimore on Saturday, April 19, 2025, and in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Participants can register via EventBrite or by emailing info@thepulseofentertainment.com.
In addition to his work with ULMII, Bell continues to be involved in various entertainment initiatives. His recent collaborations have included appearances at events such as the Broadway sensation Raena White’s “Dear Whitney” performance at Joe’s Pub on August 9.
