Epstein Expert Condemns MAGA's 'Absurd' Attempt to Portray Ghislaine Maxwell as a Victim: 'She Was a Pedophile' | Video

The Role of Ghislaine Maxwell in Epstein's Crimes
Independent journalist and expert on Jeffrey Epstein, Tara Palmeri, has spoken out against the narrative that Ghislaine Maxwell was a victim of the crimes she was involved in. During an appearance on MSNBC's Deadline White House, she criticized the idea that Maxwell should be seen as anything other than a perpetrator. "Any sort of idea that Ghislaine was some sort of victim as they are saying on NewsMax and other places is absurd," she said. "She was a pedophile. She did the exact same thing."
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. She was convicted in 2021 and received her sentence in June 2022. According to Palmeri, Maxwell was not just an accomplice but actively involved in luring young girls to Epstein.
How Maxwell Lured Victims
Palmeri referenced several accounts from victims she has interviewed on her podcast, "BROKEN: Jeffrey Epstein." One story involved Maxwell contacting the mother of a girl named Annie Farmer to convince her that it was safe for her daughter to join Epstein and Maxwell at the Zorro ranch, promising to pay for her tuition. "They preyed on children," Palmeri stated.
Additionally, she mentioned that Juan Alessi, who worked for Epstein since the 1990s, told her about the couple's "ritual" of driving around south Florida to find three girls per day to satisfy Epstein’s needs. This level of organization suggests a systematic exploitation of minors.
Maxwell's Direct Involvement
Beyond grooming the girls, Maxwell was directly involved in sexual acts with them. Palmeri emphasized this point, stating, "Once she got them in the door, she was involved in the sexual acts." She also noted that many Trump supporters seem to ignore this fact, instead trying to create an image that Maxwell is somehow absolved from her actions.
Virginia Giuffre's Testimony
Virginia Giuffre, another individual who was pursued by Maxwell and Epstein at Mar-a-Lago, shared her experiences with Palmeri. Giuffre claimed she met Trump through Epstein. She described herself as a "sex slave" to Epstein and his friends from the age of 16 to 18. Though she was only with Epstein from 2000 to 2002, Trump and Epstein remained friends during that time, as evidenced by several photos together.
Trump has claimed that their friendship ended because Epstein "stole people that worked for me," including after he had warned him not to do it again. He also acknowledged that one of those employees may have been Giuffre, though he did not specify that the individuals were young women. However, the White House later stated that Trump barred Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club "for being a creep."
Contradictions in the Friendship Narrative
Palmeri criticized the idea that Trump was upset about Epstein's actions at the time. "This whole idea that President Trump was upset about it at the time is absurd," she said. She pointed out that the stories about the end of Trump and Epstein's friendship differ, with some suggesting it was due to a 2004 property dispute over a bankrupted oceanfront property called Maison de l'Amitié. Palmeri agreed with that timeline.
Legal and Media Controversies
The Wall Street Journal published articles alleging that Trump appeared in the Epstein files multiple times, and that his Attorney General Pam Bondi warned him of this. In response, Trump sued the Wall Street Journal for $10 billion for defamation over a suggestive birthday note he wrote for Epstein's 50th birthday.
These events highlight the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Trump's relationship with Epstein and the broader implications of how public figures are perceived in relation to these allegations. As the conversation continues, experts like Palmeri stress the importance of acknowledging the full extent of Maxwell's role and the harm caused to the victims.
