A Challenging Experience on Set

Shooting the ABC series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" was no easy task for Dean Cain, who played the iconic superhero. Cain explained that sweating was not an option because it could cause the suit to bunch up. As a Japanese man, he noted that he doesn't sweat much and isn't very hairy, so the production didn't have to shave his chest or anything.

Despite the physical challenges, Cain has fond memories of his time on the show. He described the series as a life-changing experience that opened up exciting career opportunities and provided substantial financial rewards. However, the physical toll was undeniable, and the memories of the grueling filming process remain vivid.

Working Relationships and Reunions

Cain and Hatcher's working relationship was marked by both collaboration and occasional tension. He later appeared regularly on "Supergirl" from 2015 to 2017 as the foster father of the titular heroine, Jeremiah Danvers. Hatcher, on the other hand, played Ella Lane, the mother of her "Lois & Clark" character Lois Lane, on seasons 4 and 10 of "Smallville." She also portrayed Queen Rhea, a formidable villain in the second season of "Supergirl."

These reunions allowed both actors to revisit their roles in the Superman universe, showcasing their continued connection to the characters and the franchise. While their time on "Lois & Clark" may have come to an end, their contributions to the superhero genre remain significant and enduring.
