Match Highlights from AEW Dynamite
"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Wheeler YUTA
The match started with immediate intensity, as both competitors went at it hammer and tongs. Page threw YUTA into the barricade multiple times before bringing him back into the ring. Page used a fallaway slam, big boot, and chops in the corner, followed by a Death Valley Driver in the middle of the ring. However, YUTA managed to counter with a big lariat. Page then lined up for a big move, but YUTA avoided it.
Page eventually won the match by pinfall after hitting a Buckshot. After the match, Page grabbed a chain from ringside and attacked YUTA with a right hook, wrapping the chain around his neck and delivering grounded punches. He finally let go, leaving YUTA bloodied and shaken.
Billie Starkz Promo
Billie Starkz was backstage with Athena for a promo. Athena wore a Shark Week fin, which distracted the audience slightly. During the promo, Athena questioned Starkz about her identity and intentions, suggesting that she would take down Toni Storm that night.
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey)
This tag team match was intense from the start, with FTR jumping JetSpeed immediately. They beat them down, and Knight fell to the floor, allowing Bailey to be legal. The match saw a series of high-flying moves, including a Shatter Machine, superkick-assisted German suplex, and a series of stereo planchas.
The match went back and forth, with both teams showing their strength. FTR eventually won by pinfall after a victory roll from Dax Harwood and some help from Stokely Hathaway.
After the match, Tony Schiavone interviewed FTR, with Stokely Hathaway speaking on behalf of the team. He criticized Adam Copeland, stating that he doesn’t belong in the company and called him a "cancer."
As the interview continued, Adam Copeland entered the ring, causing tension. Stokely demanded that Copeland stop, but Copeland claimed he had a business deal to attend to. The situation escalated when The Hurt Syndicate—Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin—entered the ring and attacked FTR, leading to chaos.
Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian Promo
Backstage, Nick Wayne, Mother Wayne, and Kip Sabian made a promo, stating that they had spoken verbally last week but were now ready to take action physically. They hinted that they would show their strength on Saturday during the Uncaged event.
Will Ospreay Makes His Way into the Arena
