Cheesy Biscuit Pizza Rolls – Kid Approved!

A Fun and Flavorful Cheesy Biscuit Pizza Roll Recipe
For the past six years, my family has been making this Cheesy Biscuit Pizza Roll recipe. While we don’t make them often due to their high calorie content, they are a favorite during tailgating events and football season. These pizza rolls are a great alternative to ordering pizza, and the kids enjoy helping to make them.
I love that these pizza rolls can be made in small batches, so there are no leftovers. Plus, I can tailor the toppings to each child’s preferences, which is a big plus for picky eaters. I found this recipe on Pinterest from a pin by The Gunny Sack.
Ingredients for Cheesy Biscuit Pizza Rolls
To make these delicious pizza rolls, you will need:
- Pillsbury Grands Biscuits (these work best because they have more dough to wrap around the ingredients)
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Pizza Sauce
- Canadian Bacon (you can also use crumbled sausage, pepperoni, or vegetables as fillings)
- Non-stick Spray
- Egg
- Italian Seasoning

Making the Cheesy Biscuit Pizza Rolls
Here’s how to make these tasty treats:
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
- Spray your pan with non-stick spray.
- Cut up your cheese and meats to fit on the biscuits.
- This is a great opportunity for the kids to practice using knives and learning basic kitchen skills.
- Spray a 9x13-inch pan with non-stick spray.
- Flatten out the biscuit and assemble your toppings.
- We used Canadian bacon cut into quarters and added some cheese.
- Roll the biscuit dough all the way around the contents to seal it up.
- Place the rolled-up dough balls into the 9x13-inch pan, making sure the sealed side is facing down.
- Note: We once tried adding sauce inside and it caused a mess, so it’s better to keep the sauce outside.
- Once all the biscuits are rolled up, beat an egg in a bowl.
- Using a pastry brush, brush all the pizza rolls with the egg.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
We serve ours with dishes of pizza sauce for dipping, and Isabella especially loves how cheesy they turned out.
