Brad Pitt Returns as Cliff Booth in New Film

Brad Pitt is making a return to the big screen as his iconic character, Cliff Booth, in the upcoming film The Adventures of Cliff Booth. This new project marks a continuation of the story that first introduced audiences to Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 movie Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, where Pitt won his second Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Pitt, now 61 years old, was recently spotted on set in Los Angeles, filming scenes for the spinoff. The actor was seen wearing a blond wig and a matching mustache, giving him a different look compared to his previous portrayal. His outfit included a yellow t-shirt with floral patterns and jeans, which closely resembled the style he wore in the original film.

The film is directed by David Fincher, known for his work on Se7en and The Killer. It is written by Tarantino, who also penned the script for Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. The project has been generating a lot of buzz since its development was first reported in April. According to some sources, the idea for The Adventures of Cliff Booth emerged after Tarantino decided to shelve another project titled The Movie Critic, a screenplay set in the 1970s about a movie reviewer for a pornographic magazine.

Pitt’s character, Cliff Booth, was originally intended to play a role in The Movie Critic before the project was abandoned. Tarantino has since mentioned that he will not direct any more films until his children are older. However, he has continued to explore Booth’s character through other mediums, such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: A Novel, which expanded on the events of the 2019 film.

While the plot details for The Adventures of Cliff Booth have not yet been officially revealed, Deadline reported in an interview with Michael B. Jordan that the film appears to follow Booth as a “Hollywood studio fixer” after the events of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. The movie is expected to feature a star-studded cast, including Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, JB Taken, and Corey Fogelmanis.

Although no official release date has been announced, The Adventures of Cliff Booth will be distributed by Netflix. This follows Pitt’s recent appearance in the Formula One racing movie F1, which he starred in earlier this year. He also has several other projects in the works, including an action film titled Heart of the Beast, which was reportedly filmed in New Zealand back in March.

As fans eagerly await more information about the film, the return of Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth promises to bring back the charm and complexity of the character that made Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood such a memorable experience. With Tarantino’s writing and Fincher’s direction, the new movie is sure to captivate audiences and continue the legacy of one of Hollywood’s most beloved characters.
